This is my guide about Vitamin C deficiency. My guineapig suffered from it a while back, and now I know the signs of it, and how to treat it. (Bits taken from internet).
What are the signs of Vitamin C deficiency?
Signs are :
> Loss of appetite
> Shy, unusual behaviour
> Weight Loss
> Ruffled fur
> Lameness
> Nasal Discharge
> Bleeding Gums
These are just some of the basic symptoms.
What should I do if I think my piggie has this disease?
If your guinea pig is showing any of these signs, you have to go to the vets STRAIGHT away. I know for sure that this disease can be fatal.
Treatment?
The vet will sort out your treatment for you. He will give your guineapig a simple injection.
What fruit and veg can I feed my guineapig to prevent him/her from getting it again?
Kale
Parsley
Sweet Red & Yellow Peppers
Broccoli
Guava
Green Peppers
Kiwi
Strawberry
Mustard Greens
Cauliflower
Hope this little (sorry) guide helps!
