Fairyclairy
New Born Pup
Hey all,
Can anyone recommend any good vets in the Manchester area preferably near Salford/Bolton.
I am with Vets for Pets currently but I feel recently like I am a burden to them recently.
Three weeks ago I noticed that Lexie was a bit withdrawn and not her usual self, same with Pixie. So I took them to the vets and they said that Lexie was not well and underweight but Pixie is fine. I was given batryil and metacam for Lexie to take was not told for how long.
However over the weekend Pixie seemed to get worse, so we took her and Lexie back in. That is when I was told that Lexie had fluid on her lungs and Pixie was ill as well. So we ended up getting batryil for pixie as well to take for a week. That is when I asked how long Lexie should take hers for and they said a week and I asked for more batryil then as we were not given enough and it has all gone. They argued saying that they have given enough and accused me of spilling it, which I didn't. They were going to charge us more money for additional medince which I said I will not be paying for their mistake, luckily it ended with me just paying for the medicine and not the actual process of dispensing it.
Throughout the week both of them seemed a bit better and we took them in on Friday where they said the fluid is clearing up a bit but not that much. So they decided to switch meds to sulfatrim for Lexie but not for Pixie. We then met back up on the following Monday and Lexies lungs cleared up and she seemed much better and was putting on more weight. Pixie just seemed the same but the vet said that they are fine and the mucus in the nose is free of bacteria. So that when we stopped the medication.
But less than a week later Pixie was rocking again and not herself. So we took her to the vets last Friday and they said the bacteria is back and put her on sulfatrim (which she is still on) and to give a call on monday for an update. I did this on Monday and told them Lexie is rocking slightly and she sounds snotty again to which they said send a video and they said that is fine. But I am not convinced she is. She is still eating, drinking and being her usual self but the noises from her don't sound so good. Now I just feel like I am burden on the vets and that they are unwilling to see Lexie even though she was the one who worse off.
So any recommendations will be welcome!
