UTI/IC pain not letting up

I'm so sorry for your loss. You cared for her so diligently and managed her pain at home so well - a peaceful passing is sometimes all we can be grateful for x

It's over ✨🐷💕

After an amazing weekend of her bouncing back from the bloat, she declined quickly this afternoon and passed peacefully with her cage mate by her side.

Thank you for listening to me ramble on about all the details of her care.
I’m so sorry for your loss, reading the updates on this thread since the last time I commented I was hopeful things were on the up but I’m also glad Buttercup isn’t in any pain or suffering anymore 💞

I just want to say, I hope you know that you went above and beyond for Buttercup, you gave her an amazing life and you did literally everything you could possibly do for her, and more ❤️ It’s clear how much you love her, and I’m sure the feeling is mutual.

Thank you...this means so much to me. So now Ive lost my two original pigs, but I still have three and hopefully soon, another friend will join the family 💕

Really all I wanted was for her to pass peacefully. Dont we all. It was so hard to think she would go after seeming to suffer or have to put her to sleep.

In the end, she passed much like her sister Nutmeg. She also had a serious health event (3rd time under GA for dentals and then a massive cyst on her lower jaw) we got her through it, but then was being treated for bumblefoot. She went from seeming ok, to not being quite right at bedtime, and gone in the morning ✨

Buttercup declined around 3pm and was gone by 8:30.

Here is her last photo, last time sharing some cilantro with her little cage mate Kona. Here is where she stayed, seemingly comfortable, till the end 💕

You’re more than welcome lovely. I know how hard it is to lose any piggy, or indeed any animal but when they’re your original ones it really stings a little more at times, I know losing Foxy for me was really rough, here if you need anything!

I think that’s a saving grace really, she died while seemingly feeling fairly okay, and it wasn’t a long drawn out death. That’s all any of us can ask for for our beloved animals ❤️ I’m glad she had a peaceful death, and I hope that brings you some peace too, and she was with her cage mate where she belongs, and with you nearby too. You really did amazing things for her, and you’ve got a lot of good memories to cherish!
