just wondering how clover is going? is she still eating and slowly returning to normal? hoping she and daisy are getting on well. sending you all hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-* know we're thinking of you all. :smitten: :smitten:

Clover's doing ok, definitely more lively over the last 24 hours. She's still not eating a great deal, but having a good variety of stuff and it's all processing ok! :) A handful of grass from the garden went down a treat. Taking her for her check up in next half hour. She and Daisy are fine - Clover is snuggling up to her when she wants to but more usually booting her out of their fave little house/bed! :smitten: I got Daisy out for floor time as usual yesterday evening and Clover asked to come too, and had a little trot around.

How is Zoe doing? (I've been following your thread - sending piggy love :smitten: :smitten:)

glad clover is doing better and hope all goes well at the vet. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: poor daisy being booted from her bed :'( :'( :'( zoe is doing better and have updated her post. if when zoe had terramycin injections if they had given her probiotics she would have been better by now. if she continues to improve will put her back with jessie. sending you and clover hugs and cuddles :smitten: and daisy a special big hug for losing her bed :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

how did you get on at the vet? Hope all's well :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Got on ok at the vet - he's quite happy and has discharged her. No stitches to be removed as they're internal. Last baytril and probiotic today so no more syringe action!

She's still not eating up to full capacity but is nibbling a variety of yummies. Apparently the baytril can upset their little tums, even with the avipro, so that accounts for the squidgy poo! Vet says her appetite should pick up after baytril finished. She's certainly more lively, and lets Daisy back into her bed now :)

Love to Zoe, I'm sure putting her in with Jessie will brighten her up. :smitten:

One weird thing...you know how they eat the occasional poo? Normal piggy activity, has a name beginning with c but can't remember. Well, Clover obviously feels she's not getting enough of her own so she keeps shoving her nose up Daisy's bum and waiting for the right poo to come out, then eating it! ;D Funny to watch, Daisy doesn't seem to mind much!

I'm sorry i'm so behind on this thread i've not been tuned in to well lately :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed:
I'm really sorry to hear your little one has gone thru so much :'( :'( :'(
But it now sounds like all is coming along well, gosh this is WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO news :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
Sending heaps of healing wheeks for Clover and (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) for you :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

YAYYY! :D glad she's doing well and can come off the meds :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
hehe it's copraphillia or something, i don't think thats how you spell it LOL! :embarassed: ;D but know what you mean O0
yeah bertie used to do that to his mum ::) Boys! ::) ;D Hope she's still doing well for you this morning :smitten:

Fab news! Well done Clover, and mummy and vet too, he sounds very competent. My Scarby 0:) had a 200g liver tumour removed in 2006.

Well would you believe it, now Clover's got a hernia! I'm feeling guilty as I'm wondering whether the 3 days cage rest I gave her after the spay (2 weeks ago) wasn't enough. It's only fat, not gut, and she's booked in for the minor op (quick and easy so the vet assures me) on Monday. She seems well and happy in herself so let's hope she bounces back. Meanwhile, more cuddles and cage rest - she's bored, poor piglet.

Daisy (other piggy resident) has a swollen rear end (see swollen genitals' thread) but seems absolutely ok. Vet is stumped - it's clearly not a nasty, not thrush, no other problems at all. Clover thinks it smells interesting!

And I've got pharyngitis on to of my regular M.E. and feel grim. So we're all ill! :-\!

Poor little piggles :( :(

And you :(

Scarby had a little post-op hernia after his op.

Sending you all loads of healing :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

hoping clover gets through the op alright. sending you both hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-* hoping zoe doesn't get one, we kept her in a cat cage/carrier for a week so hoping the confinement will prevent zoe from getting one. hoping all goes well for clover today. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Good news (so far) about Clover :) When the vet had a little look inside she didn't have a hernia (phew!) but the swelling was a reaction to the suture material. So he gave her a little clean up inside and she was back home within 4 hours. She must have only had a light anaesthetic as she was nibbling dandelion leaves and cucumber as soon as her feet touched her vetbed! She's had a snooze since and will be on baytril/avipro/critical care/strict bed rest for a few days, but it's a good start! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

so happy clover's op went really well :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: she is one tough cookie, sending hugs and cuddles to you both :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-* and hoping clover continues to do well and will be popcorning around again in no time. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

how is dear clover going today? :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: is she liking the complete bed rest? sending you both hugs and cuddles and please keep us posted. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

Clover is ok today...wheeking for grass whenever I open the back door, having a little hay too, plus fave veggie treats. She's not back onto carrot yet but that's always the last thing they rediscover after being ill, I find. She's on baytril for a couple of days so her appetite won't properly recover until that's finished. Still giving critical care. She's sleeping a lot but seems bright in herself.

So much for cage rest - she keeps jumping up at the bars when grass is on offer! At least she's only got a little scar this time and there was no hernia before so the muscle is intact. Let's hope it all holds, I can't stick her to the floor!

Thank you so much for care and concern, much appreciated. :)

Just to let you all know that Clover is completely back to her normal happy greedy self! It's been traumatic but I'm so glad she's better. :) :) :)

Thanks for all the good wishes and helpful advice. :smitten: :smitten:

so happy clover is back to normal :smitten: what is your secret? as zoe is still messing me around with her messy bottom! maybe it is the age difference as zoe is nearly 4 and she had a lot of terramycin injections too. :'( :'( :'( happy for you and clover sending :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

good to hear this :) I hope daisy's swollen rear end got sorted out too! :-* to your girls

Yes, Daisy's rear end has shrunk back to normal size too! No idea what caused that, vet was stumped too. Both piglets are trotting around, wheeking for food and being their usual cute selves. :) :smitten:
