Using hair clippers on coronet piggy

Well I bought some! Being delivered on Sunday..I will let you know how it goes . He does love having his hair dried by the hairdryer...he actually lays down and falls asleep! So we will see how he likes this...

FYI, we just shaved our other guinea pigs butt (he’s an American short hair) because we’ve discovered hay mites all over him and he literally couldn’t care less about the clippers, just sat still chirping happily throughout.Edgar is officially a drama queen!

Well it all went really well...so much so that we think Heath may have thought he was having a massage not being clipped! He was so chilled out and positively purred whilst I was clipping him, he simply laid down and let me get on with it...no treats (although he did get some after!) just a very very happy boy!

This is him before, it doesnt really show but his coat is very dense.
The second one is him after his 'shave' ...I think it rather suits him! Can you see how relaxed he looks? !

So pleased he liked the clippers! I'll be giving Betsy her summer furdo in the next few days.

Oh my goodness, he looks dapper! Edgar now has a trimmed butt (we ended up using scissors, the second we turn the clippers on he freaks), I wish we could get all of him!

Thank you..we think so too but not told him as it will go straight to his head! LOL. He is so much happier today, very chirpy and visibly cooler. I am very fortunate he just doesnt seem to mind clippers, scissors or hairdryers! If he could he would be first in the queue for a spa day I think. He also really good with his claws being trimmed too!

He sounds perfect! Maybe we could get him on the phone and he could have a word with our Edgar 🤨

We have managed to trim Edgar! We ended up using scissors and playing him harp music which either calms him down or scares Him just enough to stay still. He was doing some happy chirping towards the end so he’s clearly not traumatised.

It isn’t as short as I wanted, but it will do :)
