Urgent! 10000 Of Tiny White Bugs In Hay

Well that's true! If you ever meet me in person I'll let you be the judge of that!

Hi sorry I havnt been on my phone :) all the bugs are gone now. The pigs are booked in for a vet appointment on Monday that pets at home are paying for but everything is back to normal now. The woman in pets at home said the worst thing she's ever seen on the hay is a dead rabbit so I guess it could of been worse X

hi, I wasn't sure where to post this so I've put it here. I've just noticed on the pigs hay there are 1000s of tiny white lice like creatures. They have infested the hay and are all over the cage. Does anyone know what they are and if the hay is safe to eat as I have no other bags. Thankyou.
How did you get over it? I have the same problem and they're all over the room

This is a rather old post I’m afraid. The OP hasn’t logged in for several months. It may be worth starting a new thread and posting photos.
Please throw away all infected hay, take everything (including the piggies) out of the cage and give everything a deep clean. Start afresh with a clean cage and all fresh hay from a new bag.
