as the title says, the pee landed on some clear plastic so i got a good look at it.

he was beside my head when he urinated so i didn't notice any sounds of discomfort or pain though he was breathing a tad fast (not 100% sure it wasn't normal speed) but not deep breaths.

is there something wrong with my boy?

Calcium stone?

please help...

for reference, last night he was eating : timothy hay, bok choy, a little bit of spinach, romaine lettuce, broccoli and guinea pig pellets (jolly brand)

search for the threads about this, i think you will find its probably normal x

white wee may have been one of the threads

This is normal. I had to get a urine sample from my piggie a couple weeks ago...it looked milky and was worried about getting results but vet said this colour is normal :)

Yeah, cloudy is normal and when you said milk I figured that would look cloudy.

Someone tell me if i'm wrong but: Isn't it calcium comes out in their wee when they're getting enough but have some left in their body, so it comes out in their urine? x

thanks everyone, yeah then his breathing should be fine then.

his wee was id say very cloudy there were no transparent bits in it. looked just like milk,

thanks for the reassurance i have him eating less high calcium veggies just incase....i had one death due to a calcium stone before so i was so worried when i saw that white wee...

me too, it was very traumatic for me and piggy, so i totally understand your worry, also, being where you are........:{

If you are really worried you could try him with one of these bottles

Quite a few people have found they drink more from these which is obviously a good thing :)

GLASS WATER BOTTLES
We have spoken to our vet and guinea pigs that drink more have a significantly lower risk of bladder stones (an affliction that kills so many guinea pigs). Piggy’s that have glass water bottles seem to drink significantly more than those with plastic bottles and the health benefits of using glass over plastic are well documented.
