Do piggies ever eat turnips? I searched the forum archives and found lots of really old posts saying they can eat them but usually dont... if nobody posts saying they are poisonous I'm going to add some to the piggies dinner anyway seeing as I'm making a root veg and squash chilli today! I already know they wont eat the squash but I keep giving them a bit anyway because I'm sure its very nutritious if they ever eat it...

Sometimes mine nibble at it but they aren’t mad for it like cucumber or kale. I they them with most things and they can be a bit faddy - one minute they like something, next they don’t! Fussy creatures!

Mine dont mind them, they prefer swede though. I find it's how you offer it to them that determines if they eat it and whether you keep offering it until they decide it's edible. Chopped into chunks theyll nibble it and then wander off. Grated or thin strips done with a peeler go down far better :)

Well somebody has eaten the turnips! I think it was probably fatty Clover. The squash is completely untouched again, even though they are wheeking for more food 15 mins after dinner time... nobody has eaten any pellets either but they've had so much hay lately they just dont see the point!

I tried mine once with the peeling of turnip and they ate it, but only when it’s fresh. They don’t go mad for it though.
