I kept Syrian hamsters for over 20 years and weight wasn’t something I ever thought about.
I knew if one was under the weather by how it felt in my hands.
Fortunately the only ones who became seriously ill were over 2 years old and developed cancer.
Looking forward to pictures of your Piggle

Thanks yes she feels a little bony but obviously if her teeth have been a problem (she’s lost her top 2) then eating will have been an issue. So she’s being spoiled now! I will post some photos
