...........is because my piggies have been spoilt rotten with an extension lol! I was so excited I set it all up as soon as it came to my door and I have a stonker of a cold, so I am now exhausted. Soooooo worth it though :D

Here's a piccie:

And here's one of Penny because she's gorgeous  Pickles was hiding so couldn't get one of her :soz:

Also, please excuse the bags of guinea pig substrate, haven't got round to taking to the recycling centre, where they can make it into compost :)

Is it a Runaround set up. I have been thinking of getting something but the price did put me off. Yours looks amazing though and will be so good for your guinea pigs. Can mine come to stay to try it out?

I love it. I remember looking at the Runaround set ups and being put off by the price. Perhaps I should reconsider.

Yeh it is a runaround. It was quite expensive, but the run is really secure and made of thick metal, so absolutely nothing can get in there, and the green connectors etc. are really well made, they're not flimsy which is really good. I do think you could probably make something by getting a few bits from somewhere like Mole Valley (the tubing and stuff), but I found for the sizes that I wanted etc. it was actually more cost effective for me to get the runaround starter kit for my piggies and I will just add to it.

I saw it all at London Pet Show and was like.......I MUST GET THIS FOR MY GIRLIES!

Plus I did save some money by not buying any of the covers, because I was put off by the price of those. I just put some tarpaulin on the top. They give you loads of spare ratchet clips, so I used those to hold it down. :)

Beautiful Penny

That is such a fab setup, bet they love it

Please do be careful if you have foxes in your area though, I have seen on a rabbit forum where they managed to rip the tubing off the green connector, luckily no bunny hurt in the process.

The reason I'm skint is because I'm married with kids and grandkids! :(

I'm glad you've let us know this . If I get one of these set up, I'm going to work out a way to protect the tubing too.

I put the guinea pigs back in the hutch at night, disconnect the tube and replace it with the door that comes with it, just in case :) I'm not sure how easy it is to clean the tubing as I have only just got it, but I will let you know @PiggieOwner. I suppose it will be relatively easy because you can disconnect it and then give it a good rinse with a hose pipe. Deep cleaning, I will probably use a bucket of water with some piggie safe disinfectant etc. See how it goes :)

I have just put an order in - so I'm skint too now :lol!:

Haha @PiggieOwner and thank you :) feeling a lot better now.

The extension seems to have gone down really well with my piggies, so I hope yours enjoy it too :D I don't know whether this is just Penny and Pickles, but I did find I had to teach them that they could go through the pipe to get out and then back up the pipe to get in and vice versa :lol!: but I have come home today to find them outside popcorning around, so we got there in the end! I came home last night and they hadn't been down the tube into the run at all, it was only the fact that I was trying to catch them to put their mange treatment on them, that they decided actually they would give it a try and just sit in the middle, so I couldn't get them!

I like the fact the runs have proper covers.
At the moment , I spend ages covering my DIY run like this day ....

I like to make sure they're safe and think it's going to be much easier with the runaround runs.

It'll be fun seeing how they get on with the tunnels.

Reason I am skint.......married with 4 spoilt fur babies :lol!: (yes I also spend lots of money on my gerbils :D)

Yes that does look like a job and a half....looks like you have built them a pretty good fortress though :)
