Hang on in there Adelle, the meds she's on could make her pick up soon.
Do what you are doing loads of cuddles & put her record on repeat.
Not long till Monday & you will know a bit more about her, & I know you will take her before if needed.
Keep us informed if you can, but put Fudge first, which I know you will. Cos you are the bestest Mum

See Fudge is giving you lots of kisses, she's proberley thinking what's up Mum. She's thinking you must be worried about all the vet bills. It's OK Mum I'll be better soon & we'll split the money you've saved & we'll go on holiday.

Its just this racing breathing.. I know her chest is fluid free, so its either down to a URI or her heart is starting to give in, and its struggle is making everything race.

We are having plenty of cuddles and i played her song for her.. She gazed into the air at the chorus like she always does.. Which ofcourse made me blubber like a baby.

The thought of losing her soon is breaking my heart.

Shes had that dicky heart for 7.5 years & it's kept going, so she ain't gonna keel over yet!
 
I've been away for a few days so just catching up with the forum. Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and that gorgeous Fudgie, with everything crossed for Monday.

Fudge bloated at around midnight last night.. Badly. Her abdomen was massive, rock hard and it was even impeding her movement. I have never seen it so bad before!

It took alot of gripe water, zantac and metaclop before things even started thinking about moving.. I stayed up all night and massaged/rubbed her belly as well as using an electric toothbrush too.. She wasnt happy and was clearly uncomfortable but i knew i had to do it.

She is now pooing, and her abdomen is much softer although there is still a bit of gas in there.

Just letting her have hay and nothing else at the moment.. She ate alot of pellets throughout the day yesterdat and i think they have gradually just built up in her tummy.

I'm about to give her next meds in an hour, then hopefully go to sleep for a while..

Not sure what the next 24 hours will bring at all!

So glad you managed to get on top of the bloat Adelle, tell Fudge not to eat so much.
Do you think the meds for her URI are working? Although it may still be early days
We are all routing for you & Fudge.
Do you have a hubby, parents, or children to keep you going & give you support at home?
You don't have to answer the last sentence, it's none of my business.
