Teenage Guinea Pig
I'm two years late with this thread. Pikachu went for the rainbow-bridge on June 21 2023. About a month earlier he developed chewing problems and we learned that he had tongue trapped under teeth. He did a tooth-fix under GA with a bad prognosis from start, but we had to give him a chance. Pika was a very big personality and he loved every second of life to his last breath. It was so hard to let him go, to see him and Chip say their goodbyes.
Pikachu was a member of our "Pokemon-starter-crew". He was very happy, very good at escaping and was very social with both pigs and humans. He loved adventures and the best thing he knew was to take a car-trip. He got very excited just to see the carrier.
The funniest thing with Pika is that he truly knew his name. You could call him and he came running or he answered (well, sometimes he was busy sleeping...)
We we're told it was a good idea to have three boars living together. When they hit teenage Bob started to chase Pika and Pika became sad. We read more and realized its not a great idea and separated them. Thats how Pika meet his little Chip, a love at first sight meeting.
Pika tended to get very strong hormone-strikes and Chip was the victim. For two-three days Pika was crazy. Then he slept for four days. He had a bodyshape like a pear and when he was out on his adventures it looked like John Lennons-wig was jumping around the house. Imagine a John Lennon-pear have a loud hormone-strikes... It was hard not to laugh. Poor Chip.
If you have a baby at home, its ok to steal food from their months...
Pika and Chip was a very dramatic and dynamic duo. Always up for something and so attached to each other. They didnt really cuddle, but washed each other sometimes. They played alot. Loved to be out on adventures and to sneak away.
Chip was very sad when Pika went for the bridge. Heartbreaking sad, and he it took time for him to find his spark again without Pika.
Pika really was a social genius. He was very much to ants in the pants to take long cuddles, but he loved to hang out. He's favorite person truly was my boyfriends sister with autism. He always took his chance to crawl up in her knee and fall asleep. That made him really special - he could just tell she needed some calm Pika-love.
Beautiful, very loved and crazy little Pika only became three years old. It was three years of joy and some strokes for us slaves. To loose him was so painful I just couldn't manage to write him a tribute at the time. Now is the time, when he is now reunited with his Pokemon-crew Joe, Bob and Chip. He also deserves a tribute and a place to shine forever like the little diamond he was. We miss you, love
