I am v new to all this but was told by the rehoming centre that the tesco ones have a lower vit C content so to add an extra slice of pepper if using them... I stand to be corrected though!

Maybe your right. Thats interesting.

I have been using them for quite a while now and can say that my piggies love them. A fraction of the cost of the branded ones and from what I can tell pretty much the same product if not the same actual shape.

Yeah I know! My pigs love them.

I currently feed burgess nuggets but my pigs leave white pee marks on their fleece so I give an egg cup and low calcium veg. It doesn't say on the burgess the calcium rate in % but I know they're quite low in comparison to other brands. They are getting a bit bored of burgess I think so interested in the tesco nuggets. How much more calcium do they have than burgess? Does anyone know?

:vom: Slugs?! They seem to appear out of no-where if I leave piggie food on the grass! Really big ones at least 6 inches long!:eek: Have you seen what happens when you put salt on them? Its horrible. They literally melt.

@helen105281 is working on a nugget comparison project at the moment, so keep an eye out for when details appear on the forum:nod:.

Asda do the same pellets, for 2kgs, the bag is 60p cheaper than Tesco. So it works out at quite a saving if you go through a lot like me. ;)

Mine all love the asda pellets too - couldnt see the exact calcium though as Bumble needs to keep a low calcium diet

Do you have WalMart - they own Asda. ;)

I don't know the euro-sterling exchange rate is, so I cant tell if the price for your Tesco nuggets differs much from mainland UK. ;)

My guineas seem to love the Tesco nuggets.
When I first got my original pair (Bubble and Squeak), I was told that they only liked P@H nuggets and not to bother trying any other brands. When we lost Bubble and gained Snowflake and Sparkle (excuse the names - I have young children!), the rescue told us that P@H nuggets were not good (she had them on Wagg museli). I'd read on the forum about Tesco nuggets and decided to try them. All 3 of them tucked in with no bother at all! I'll definitely be buying them again and will try ASDA if they are the same but cheaper?

Will def be trying after my guinea pigs poggo and Paulina eat the very last handfull of p@h nuggets and finish there whole new bag of minylt and black current flavoured nuggets
