Tallulah has an abscess :(

So lovely everything is going well. Tallulah looks like she wants to be in there? Ah ah, what pandemonium will little Bat Hippo be thinking of making!
 
Little bat-hippo does need a friend... and she's been very friendly with Piggle, Puggle and Blodwen... but I also saw her nip Clover's big bottom through the bars when she thought no-one could see, and Jezzy floof is terrified of her, so I think Tallulah might be better with a new friend of her own! We're working on that, once we get signed off as all healed up by the vet :)
 
I do hope Tallulah can find a lovely friend of her own. My skinny Dora is very dominant but thankfully Ginger is a very laid back boy.

Crumbs, she is going to need a pig of strong constitution for a companion isn't she? Good luck, I can't wait for the dating process to begin, it's going to be like EastEnders!

Blod did weigh 790g when we adopted her needing dental surgery 4 months ago so I'm hoping we can feed Tallulah up too! But Tallulah is just a baby still, great appetite though, she eats and poops twice as much as the adult piggies :)
 
My little bat-hippo is all mended! Final vet check today and she was signed off as all healed up. She still has a little scab and she'll always have a bit of a lumpy scar but she's all healthy and weighs 620g today hungry when last sunday she weighed 610g just after breakfast so I'm happy with that! Time for her to start dating and move into her own C&C cage soon :) got the cage, the extra water bottles, the double food bowl, new fleeces arrive next week... just need a neutered husboar who likes her! And who wouldnt love all those huge ears to kiss?

Piggy daddy has started calling her "Salvador Dali" because of her impressive curly whiskers and mad staring eyes, also "chupacabra" after that mythical blood sucking beast which is probably really that mexican hairless dog that looks just like Tallulah... in fact she left a note reminding me to give her extra hay on wednesday morning signed "Tallulah Salvador Dali Chupacabra Bat-Hippo". Which is a lot of long words for a baby hippo to write, she's very clever :)
