Dental Suspected tooth problems

That’s the thing with dental piggies, they have a real zest to live, you can see in the video she wants to eat and is trying hard to eat, bless her. I’m sure Simon/Kim can sort her problem out and tell you what’s wrong on Friday x

Yeah she's so eager to. She runs and stands at the bars eagerly waiting then remembers she can't do it.

So I just wanted to give an update on Yugi.

I took her to see Kim today and she had a look at Yugis mouth. It turns out she has a tooth that's causing her an abscess in the side of her cheek and thrush in her mouth which meant she was struggling to open her mouth for food.

We have been given some dog metacam to give twice a day as well as itrafungal for her thrush.

I've just gotten home and given her both the metacam and the itrafungel. We have to go back again in just over two weeks to check up on how she is going.

Thank you so much to everyone's help and advice from both Yugi and me ❤️ fingers crossed she'll start to eat soon.
 
Aw, glad at least you know what’s wrong, that half the battle, poor Yugi, hope she feels more comfortable soon and then she can start eating again x

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to give another update on Yugi. She's been eating herself and finally starting to put on a little bit of weight. In 3 days she's gone up 30grams. The medicine is definitely helping 🥰

She's still super skinny at just 808 but her lowest she was 777 so I'm glad to see it finally going up.

I can still feel her bones and you can see all the indents on her, especially around her legs but hopefully if she keeps up the food she will continue going up. I'm feeling so much more positive!

I have another appointment with Kim for a checkup in roughly two weeks so we will see how it goes 🤞
 
Aw, that’s wonderful news! Hope Yugi starts eating better now and puts on more weight x
