a little note from slave to your slave: you're amazing ♥️♥️♥️
This week has been very rough for slave. You guys have been very supportive. Now this URI had its role in it ofc, but the first days without Joe was so hard. Its still a bleeding wound, and I guess it will be for a time. It was really a shock and not how I imagined the day I would say goodbye to my little king.

Now me. The important one. Mister Kongo!
Right now I'm inhaling watermelon. I have a crazy bug in a cage next to me. This crazy bug is really noisy and messy. he doesn't really have a name yet, but my vote is on Lunatic or just High Pitched.
Yesterday he was really wild and stressed. He kept jumping on top of his house so slave had to build a roof.
I can tell he has been living with a Swedish family. I'm sure he likes that Swedish fika. I mean, the little bug just looks at the minth and eat cucumber instead... I'm gonna teach him everything I know about being a South American. But the Oreos are mine!

There is a little animal called a pika, maybe he is a pika? He is really cute though. But, yes, you need a roof to keep your Oreos safe. Perhaps he is like Truffle, smaller than me, but quite bossy, likes to be the manager. Watermelon is good for all problems. I hope your slave is feeling better!

Omg how cute! He really reminds of a pika. We already had a Pikachu and he was excellent at stealing food 😂 and escape in a silent way. Not like Kongo the tank. That dude jumped in silence but was too short to open the fridge. He never gave up, though!
I want to name him after a country, to match with Kongo. But male-slave is in to Japan-things and this little fellow sure looks like something from a cartoon so male-slave might win this argument...
 
I have the daunting task of using the shop vac in the boys room today. I will have to pick up as much hay as I can by hand. Chez will hide for an hour but Stripe just goes about his business.

I'm going to type up three care sheets, one for each pet, for the boarders.

Everyone at the new vet loves the boys. They have a check up there in June. Not sure how much guinea pig experience she has, but we'll see.
 
At first we were scared of the vacuum then I came to check it out, munched my hay and ignored it.

Chez started doing zoomies.

So we don't mind the vacuum but are too scared to come out for the zoom meeting! Doh!

Its hard to just re-name them. He already have his identity with the name his old family gave him. But I dont like Alfons. I like real names (like Joe and Bob). We will see. Right now I want him to go by Dragan Dillermann. I think I will get very much downvoted 😂

Still very shy. He took some snacks from my hand, though!

Aw look at that gorgeously cute little face!

I find guinea pigs often choose their own name. A name will just pop into your head or you'll just find yourself calling him a name you'd never considered and it'll feel right.

I took one look at the photo that the Rescue sent me of Calypso and Chai and thought "they aren't keeping those names, they don't suit them" and I renamed them Misty and Bramble. The names instantly popped into my head. When I got to know them a bit Misty became Misty Morning as I suddenly found myself calling her that one day and Bramble is a feisty one with ATTITUDE so she became Miss Bramble. Bramble is also Bramble Wamble, Bramble Wamble Quee, OO Black Betty Bram Alam and Come Here You Will Be Picked Up For Your Cuddles and Combs!
 
My boys names evolved as I got to know them. George has always been very fastidious and has a very regal bearing, so became Dignified Sir George.
Boris was always unruly, noisy, boisterous and a bit naughty but also VERY cuddly and affectionate, so Mischievous (rather than naughty) Master Boris.
 
I've discovered the Pui Pui Molar animé. If you Google him, you will see some cute piggy stuff ❤️
 
Yes, my piggies are on that scale too. Head rubs are tolerated. Truffle will let me stroke his back, but I think it might be because he likes having his long fur combed and managed. Polo seems to enjoy being combed as well, but only allows combing down his back when he is on my lap. In the pen, he will run away.

But like Chez, it has taken about a year to get them to accept pets ❤️

I can very much relate to evolve their names 😂 my poor boys must have identity crises every week or so.

slave lost the name-battle and right now they call me Kurumi. Got some grass yesterday and I came running to eat it! I'm still a bit stressed, and very curious on that very big dude in the other cage. We talk alot with each other! Slave doesn't let us meet yet. Yesterday slave had to pick me up because a snack was stuck in my teeth and I needed some help. Did not like that! She said she was sorry, but I dont think she was because she also gave me a kiss. Like yuck! My favoritespot is on the roof to my house

Kurumi is a very lovely name! Does it mean something? Or perhaps a famous character? I hope the stress settles down. Kongo is a good chap❤️ I like your houses. Sometimes I climb onto the roof of my bendy bridge house, but not very often. Truffle has only been up once and that was after we separated and he had a boundary to patrol. I hope you boys get on and are friends. Take care of your slave ❤️
 
We get our cages cleaned today, but for now we're enjoying our pepper. Chez looks fat sometimes, but thinner when he stretches out.

The new cage arrived but I have to wait two more weeks for the fleece to be sewn.

Mom's got an extra wooden bridge in storage. I really like my soft hut, but my new hobby is knocking it over so when I get the new cage I get the wooden bridge.

Its from a anime, Kurumi Tokisaki (slave cant tell anime from hentai. A couple of years ago she went to the nerdy bookstore to buy "something hentai" for male-slaves birthday. Many of the employees are most definitely on the spectrum and took it death serious and gave me a very serious lecture. They DONT sell hentai. Well thanks now I know, I said and walked away and thought they were very roud. Male-slaves laughed so much and told me why they acted so offended...).

First day back to work after this human-URI. Such a good day slave has bought the crazy boars some herbs to celebrate. Slave is getting a new schedule with NO NIGHTS! She will sleep at home with her Kongo-boy every night ♥️

We were very happy when MS put our fleece tunnels away and brought out our bendy bridges at the beginning of Spring 🌼
 
Goodmornin' survivors,

Kongo told me yesterday this is where you can write when you're a survivor. Right now I am. This week has been so strange.

Yesterday I had a nose-to-nose (with a divider) with Kongo. I really was everywhere. So excited! Kongo was very calm and washed himself. Wow, he's big!

I'm a bit nervous with slave. I take treats from her hand sometimes, sometimes I back away. Yesterday she gave me melon and that was something new. First I acted like it was dangerous. But it smelled so interesting I just had to taste and wow! The neighbours could her me chew. I killed it like a predator. When it was time for hay I became a screaming popcorn. I ran around like a little crazy!

Empty bowl. I have to survive my slave is lazy sometimes. It should be full with peppers all the time, I love peppers!

Chez let mom pet his cheek a couple more times, but not every time. But when he does he just loves it! He gets super relaxed.

Mom doesn't work today. She's going to give herself a couple goals. She was going to call a plumber but decided to use drain cleaner. Guess what, the two drains are not clogged anymore!

Well, back to the fresh hay pile. Just found my pellets.
 
Aw, he is a lovely piggy, despite being a bit feisty at times ❤️ A real gentlepig at heart. Good to hear the drains are playing ball! MS was on a mission and cleaned both our cages and then siphoned the gravel of the fish tank and replaced 2/3rds of the water with fresh water with dechlorinator in it. And cleaned algae off the glass. Lots of tiny eyes looking up nervously. They are happy now though 🐟🐠🐡

Fish sound like a lot of work! Mom remembers her teenage friend's dad kept two fish, one would chase the other 24 hours a day and mom always thought it was so cruel to keep them together.

You get onto a roll and it's a nice way of switching off. Just have to make sure no one jumps out of the tank and no one goes up the siphon, or gravel vac as it's called these days. Yes, when I first got guppies I told myself only females cos males fin nip and compete. The females had babies waiting in the tank the first morning they were here and eventually I wound up with an all male guppy population. They chase each other all the time, but don't seem to be actually biting. They display alot and seem OK and sometimes go off on their own for a bit into the water weed, of which there is alot. They get on really well with the other kinds of fish in the tank, so have turned out well. But it is much better to have fish that don't bicker. The little honey gouramis are very sweet. The other fish are peaceful catfish with two Amano shrimp who are quite sassy and don't let the fish worry them.
 
Hello fellow survivors,

I just want to check in and tell you I'm back on my paws again. I was a bit low last week, I'm to hungry not to eat but food really was the only motivator the first day after Joe left me. I didnt want to scuba-dive my hay or drag my bunny around. I didnt do my happy-seizures during floor time. I was clearly sad. But then this little terrorist came along and now I start to act more like the mister everywhere I am.

Slaves doesn't let us have very much close interaction, they slowly moved out cages closer and closer and I really enjoy sit and look at little Kentucky Fried. He's a wild baby! He talks alot, he runs alot, he have so much energy and he jumps on everything. He reminds slaves about Chip. And he's not to fat to do real popcorns! I'm impressed.

Today slave has to handle Carl for real the first time. She only took him up once when he had a incident with food in tooth. He desperately needs a manipedi and some butt-wipes, but she wanted him to stress down before doing that. He's very curious but why. I'm happy, I get so much time in the cuddle box and I really enjoy take a long nap with my blankie and some massage. I'm a big boy you know, a full body massage takes its time.
