Survivors Group Therapy

We had our cages cleaned. Mom always does chez's cage first. While she was doing it, I knew I was next so I did huge popcorns! I was running around jumping way into the air! We just love cage cleaning day.

Chez was wiggly for his health check but I gained 25 grams since last week. I'm at 1030. At my healthiest I was 1100. So I'm on my way. I don't get any support feeding.

Then, as if it wasn't good enough, we got wheatgrass!

I'm so kind to slave I send her out today to pick me some grass. Its not really grass-season yet, but I told her she cant come home without it. I dont care if she have to search for hours! She found some green grass, very little but its a start. I gave her kisses and poked her eye with my nose. She had a blurry vision for like an hour. I'm strong! Joe was so excited he came running and bit the bars to make slave work faster. We're very nice boys ♥️
 
Grass, oh yes, MS needs to bring in along more. She grows some, but it's very short and nibbled away at the moment. We had some, so little it got lost in the wood shavings 😌 but we got green oat hay after spot cleaning 🌾👌 Your slave needs protective glasses 🥽 perhaps just for a while so she can see the grass 😉

Protective glasses is a great idea! Sometimes I'm sure she's too blind to find the fridge...

Joe is going to the vets today. He peed blood yesterday and was whimpering while peeing. Not mutch, and very bright. Slave cant see any blood or strange coloured bedding in his palace. Send him piggy-kisses, survivor-friends 💜
 
Poor Joe, that is so awful. We send him all our piggy kisses and mommy slave does too. She knows UTIs are hell. Hang in there Joe, the meds will make you better. I hope there is no stone. The guinea pig and piggy slave nightmare 🙏

on the bright side is that he does not act out of the Joey-box besides from this whimpering/blood. He had floortime with alot of popcorn and running yesterday, eats with a good appetite and is out staring on everything like normal. this is first time slave crosses ways with UTI/stones with a pig, but she knows how uncomfortable it is for a human to have a UTI. Poor Joey 🙁

I hope Joe is OK. Good for mommy slave who picked it up quickly, she knows her Joe ❤️ Lots of grass and nice things for brave piggies and their friends ❤️❤️
 
Hi guys,

Everytime I come to the vets they say "oh, its Joe again". I have a reputation as a very NAUGHTY and BAD behaved pig. I put on a big and dramatic fight everytime. And slave always said I'm such a dreampig to handle (well, as long as she's not trying to comb my hair).

I have a stone. A big one. I'm booked for surgery on Thursday and slave is for the first time ever happy about the insurance. With me its always been my thooties, and the insurance does not cover that.
I got a shot with methadone before leaving the vets and sleeps like a baby in my carrier right now. Vet said I need to take gabapentin for now. Slave never had to deal with addict-pigs before...

Now I'm going home to Kongo and my house. I'm very very upset with the hoomans right now. Painkiller or not, they gave me a shot in my ass! Like omg you people.

First of all I want to thank you for the healing vibes you sends to Joe. He's very high right now and cant really answer. He just slurrs about being lost at the seas. I dont understand. I WAS LEFT HOME ALONE, AND YOU TALK ABOUT WOBBLY FEETS?

I do not approved being left home alone. Nope. I did chaos. My pampers-box was on the side and my hay was everywhere. When Joe and slave finally was home again I bodyslammed the grids and directly runned to the divider to greet mister SeaFeet. He wobbled to the divider and we had a nose-to-nose greet. Then I remembered my breakfast-cucumber and that was more important ofc. Slave said it was very pretty to see how nice bond we have, even though we cant live together we obviously count on each others company alot.

Did you know I'm named after a football-player, and not the country Kongo? At least thats what slave have been told, and she has had a hard time believe it hence my size. Today I showed her. Those balls dont survive me, but I'm a survivor!

That stone looks horrible poor Joe. That is the dreaded X ray. Glad the strong meds are kicking in. Kongo you must see that your brother eats everything he needs to eat. Take care of him ❤️ brave little sailor.

He talks like dutsch or something, but he listens! Right now he's out dragging his hairy short legs around the cage, eats some bell pepper, hay and drinks water. Slave is happy he starts moving around, its a bit scary too watch a high pig that just falls asleep in the middle of a step. He's clearly very wobbly thought. Slaves happy he has such a good friend that looks after him. I'm a goldstar!

This morning he's pretty much himself. Whimpers a bit when peeing, but has food in sight. Ate his breakfast-cucumber like a champ and then took his gabapentin with mild protests. I'm worried as F for tomorrow ofc, but I know he's very strong and determined to survive this. I just feel so sorry for him everytime he needs to pee 🙁
 
Yes, Saskia from LAGP Rescue has a tin of stones she removed from guinea pigs over the years. Joe's stone is a nasty big one that is deep inside, poor boy.
Kongo, you could cure me right away 🫘 lovely healing vibes, I feel them 😘
Polo is zooming hard and kicking wood shavings right out of his cage across the floor, and then standing, staring with a strange inscrutable expression. My socks are full of wood shavings 😄
