Has anyone tried both of the above foods and found any difference?

I know the Recovery Plus contains added Vitamin C, but are there any other advantages?

Ruby loves the normal Recovery food, but I need to order more, and wondered if the Recovery Plus would be better?
But I am worried that there will be a taste difference, and Ruby is SUPER picky about this sort of thing.
Right now she will happily eat the Recovery food by herself :yahoo: and I am trying to avoid having to syringe feed her again.

You can either continue with what she loves (the safe bet) or get one each so you can switch back or mix if she is not happy. But it can be an epic fail to go cold turkey without back-up in picky piggies in my own experience; they like what they are used to...

You can always give her more vitamin C yourself if needed; I would recommend to do that in 2 week boosters courses rather than steadily and to check how much is already in her diet.

Hi @Swissgreys , I used both at the end of the period when Zebedee was poorly. If I remember correctly, he wasn't so keen on the recovery plus, but that may have been because he was eating more for himself by then, or another reason. I think it has probiotics in as well as vit c in the form of "saccharomyces cerivisiae" ( yeast to you and me!). I'll attach a pic of the packet info - afraid I don't have any of the ordinary one to compare.

(I could post you a packet or two if you like)

Thank you both - that was really helpful.
I have decided to go with a packet of each.
That way if Ruby doesn't like the 'plus' I still have the regular to fall back on.
And I am sure I will use the other at some point in time - it's always good to have on hand.

And the pic was useful @Qualcast&Flymo becasue i actually have some of the 'regular' left over, so can compare.
I wonder if it is either the probiotics or Vit C that make the 'plus' less appealing?
Ruby was super picky abut her probiotics too, and when we found one she would take willingly I decided to stick with that, so I probably only need the regular one anyway, as I already supplement with probiotics.

When I was feeding poorly Ampeeri, I used the regular one because at first it was the only option available for me, but I mixed it with a vit C powder that I give to my pigs anyway. I found that way I could monitor the vit C intake easier, and at least Ampeeri was fine with that mix. When ordering more I found the plus version that much more expensive than the regular, that I decided to stick with the regular one and continue adding the vit C powder as needed.

Thanks for the feedback @Powerpigs
The plus version isn't much more expensive (Viovet), but the postage is crippling - 10 British pounds per box :yikes:
So I will wait and have it sent to an address in the UK (free postage), and collect it in person when we are back in a couple of weeks!
The savings in postage will be put towards a nice fish and chip lunch (for me, not the guinea pigs of course).

That is quite a postage indeed :yikes: I was going to recommend VetUK for you as their postage is only 6 British pounds, but I noticed their international delivery is limited to EU countries only :mal:
