Stubbins is poorly...again?

I am super worried-
I just gave Stubbins her first dose of medication and then realized what the vet had told me about the importance of shaking the bottle before use (I forgot to shake the bottle).
What do I do? :(

Good to hear Stubbins managed to get seen. Hopefully she starts to pick up now she's got her meds. I'm sure forgetting to shake the bottle one won't do any harm. Sending healing wheeks! ❤️

Thank you so much! 💕
Stubbins is alright this morning. She helped her mom fight off an alien invader (a spider) and return it to its own planet (the yard).
She is still having diarrhea, though I haven't spotted any blood. Fingers crossed she's having a good day. :)

Stubbins is covered in diarrhea and is losing weight rapidly. :(
I feel like I can't keep up. I am trying my best to help my little girl. :(

Two quick questions:
In the situation that I am in, can I give Stubbins as much Critical Care as she would like? I have a 10 mL syringe, and when I walk up to Stubbins to feed her, she tugs at the syringe and has even run away with it before.
Does this mean that she is hungry and needs more Critical Care?
Secondly, if she is drinking enough water on her own, should I still syringe it to her?
Thank you! :)

I'm definitely not an expert and wouldn't normally offer advice but as it is so late and I imagine the people most qualified to advise you might be asleep if I was in your position I would keep giving her the critical care especially if she seems to be wanting it. Are you on your own, is there anybody with you?

Try not to stress to much to are doing absolutely everything you can for poor Stubbins. She is very lucky to have such a dedicated owner looking after her

Hi.
I have been super busy between Stubbins and school. I am sorry that I have not given an update.
As of right now, Stubbins is not doing well at all. She keeps gaining and dropping a lot of weight, despite the fact that she is eating a ton of food. She has also been drinking immense amounts of water. Our normal vet is super kind and amazing but says that we have tried everything possible. She is going to have Stubbins see a vet who will potentially put her under anesthesia to examine her teeth and draw a blood sample. Our vet says that the blood sample will determine if Stubbins' organs are not functioning properly.
I am so worried about my little girl. 😞

Hi!
I woke up this morning to find a lot of diarrhea in the piggy room. I can't know for sure who it was, but I have my suspicions that Stubbins is unwell again.
Last night, she was sneezing quite a bit. She was also puffed into a ball (which I know can be a sign of pain). I am unsure of what to do, however, as she usually only holds the position for a few seconds. Last night, she was puffed into a ball and then started to fall asleep, which concerned me.
She is eating her hay and drinking normally. I am super concerned that last month's illness is coming back. I am going to call the vet tomorrow (they are closed on Sundays).
I am crossing my fingers that she gets better.
:(
Aw! I’m hoping Stubbins feels better soon! Please update us after the vet visit! Sending love ❤️

It's so awful when you don't know what's wrong and you feel like no one can help you. Everyone is supporting you on here and you know there will always be someone to talk to if you need to 💜

Thank you so much for your support. ❤
I am going to phone to vet tomorrow morning to see if there is anything that I can do for her before Tuesday (to stop bleeding, pain, etc.).
Do you think that it would be a good idea to maybe bring some pictures of what the blood/diarrhea looks like to the vets for her examination? I am not allowed to come inside the office, but her carrier has a pouch in it. Maybe I am overthinking this. I am super worried. :(

Pictures are always a good idea.
It can help a vet get a clearer picture of what is going on, particularly when an owner can't be in the actual consult.

I am really hoping you can get to the bottom of it, as it is clear how hard you are trying and how much you love your girl.

Hi!
We went to the vets yesterday. They ran two fecal tests but said that they didn't feel comfortable performing any more procedures (as it had gotten quite late in the afternoon). We are going back on Tuesday to have her teeth checked/x-rayed, and to have her blood drawn. I am so worried about her, as she has bloody poop almost every day.
I love her so much. :(
Any tips for caring for a piggy after anesthesia?

Hi there Mo &Stubbins &Vani, just seen your thread from Aug/Sept and wondered how little Stubbins is doing (I’m hoping she’s still with us).
I have a male 5yr old (Treacle) who has similar symptoms to what Stubbins had. Diarrhea, losing a lot of weight (he’s currently 660g) despite still having an appetite. Only difference is he doesn’t have blood in his diarrhea like Stubbins has.
It’s so worrying when they’re so poorly, it makes you feel ill yourself doesn’t it 😢. Would love an update on Stubbins if you are able ❤️
