strawberries

Blitzen would eat almost anything, but he outright ignored strawberries.

I hand feed all new veg then it seems like more of a treat. Start off with only a small amount first to get their tummies used to it. Don't worry if they leave it first of all as if they haven't had it before they may not recognise it as food. If you keep offering it, then they do get used to it eventually. When introducing a new food, I hand feed some of what they are used to with the smell of the new veg on my fingers, then offer the new veg and hope they take it.

My sow would go to take them with her lips pulled right the way back like she didn’t want to touch it! I think strawberries are actually more acidic and sour than lemons, the only reason they taste sweet to us is because of their fragrance.

🤣🤣I tried my boys on strawberries this morning. They sniffed and then went backwards like I was trying to poison them🤣🤣
At this time of year, I do the same thing when I taste the grocery store strawberries. They taste so much better in the summer.

Yes the leaves and stalk attached to the top of strawberries are called strawberry tops.

I have never seen strawberry tops unless you mean the leaves attached to the 🍓

Yes it’s the top green leaf Part attached to the strawberry (the bit you’d cut off and not eat yourself) or they can also eat the big leaves on an actual plant if you grow strawberries yourself

Hope they take it without a chunk of finger!
Yes Master Boris, I'm looking at you......

We had the same reaction from H&H a couple of years ago. It was unanimous strawberries are evil, and to be avoided at all costs!
Strawberry leaves though, are apparently delicious.
