Stone blockage - All good.

thank you. Not sure there is anything the vet can do.

I’m so sorry - sadly this can sometimes happen. My thoughts are with you

I really am so sorry. It’s heartbreaking when it ends like this. You did everything you could and she was in the best hands. Take your time to grieve her passing.

Thank you. It is truly heartbreaking as you know.. I just don't think we can do guineas anymore. Twenty years of joy and twenty years of heartbreak and loss.

But now her housemate is on her own, so she needs some love.

I’m so sorry you lost her. Popcorn pain free over the bridge Tahini. Take care ❤️

Thank you so so much for understanding....we are in such pain right now

Oh no.
Remember to be kind to yourselves as you grieve.
You did everything possible and Tahini was clearly a very loved family member.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and after you had all tried so hard. I can appreciate how you feel - my girl made it through a surgery last month (which apparently went surprisingly well) but just didn't 'come round' and passed within 48 hours. I couldn't understand it as she had phases of seeming completely normal and gobbling her syringe food then she'd suddenly just zone out, dropped her head and go completely flat. Eventually she had a big nap and after that just refused anything. It's a really hard situation, and as the years go by I think it does get more painful. Be kind to yourself - you did everything you could x

Thanks for this Free Ranger, it helps to hear this as we are so confused right now. To be honest she just 'disappeared' from the moment the vets removed the stone. She was not the same guinea, just blank, staring in to space, as if she had already gone.

I am so sorry, you did everything you could for Tahini. Tahini was very lucky to have found you and to have had such a wonderful home.
Sending you big hugs.

Oh gosh I’m so sorry :( You did absolutely everything you could for her, she was lucky to have such a caring owner like you that loved her so much. Massive hugs to you and her friend ❤️xx

You are very much not alone @Pinki. Many of us have lost piggies who just decide to “give up”. Some after illness or surgery, others simply after the loss of a cage mate. It’s heartbreaking but please be reassured that you did all you could for her and please don’t let the “what ifs” trouble you. You are in shock at the moment, and grieving the unexpected loss. Big hugs.

Thanks VickiA. The "giving up" was her way out I guess. So hard when they are young. Her cage mate hopefully won't give up too.

Oh gosh just been reading through this now, I am so sorry you have lost her, what an awful thing to happen after such a promising post operative start, so sorry, sending big hugs x

Thank you so much. It's such a shock after it all seemed to go well. We will miss Tahini. x

Hope you’re all ok :hug:x
Thanx so much..the second day is always a little easier. The HayBox delivery came this morning so Neem is suitably distracted with these new cold-pressed pellets.

We want to thank everyone in this thread who has been so supportive and caring and loving over the last 24 hours. It's really overwhelming and we cannot thank you enough...and a big thank you from Tahini. X

Yes it feels as though it’s sunk in a bit doesn’t it, but still sending massive hugs to you and Neem :) Hope she enjoys her new pellets and has a good day ❤️

This forum is amazing with everyone’s support, I’d be lost without it! Hope you have a good day too :) x
