Squealing whilst peeing

When Sam had his bladder flush, I dont remember seeing any blood. Hopefully it is normal. I'd ring the vets tomorrow just to check x
Okay thank you, will do. I really hope it’s nothing too serious, it seems never ending for him

I’m glad he seems ok after the sedation/GA and hope the vets can clarify what’s going on with his wee. Bless him (and you), this has been a saga. I hope he’s back to his usual self soon. You’re doing brilliantly.

So, I had called on Saturday regarding blood in Peanut’s wee but the vet wasn’t scheduled to be working until Thursday and so I emailed instead and have received a response today. I found two spots of blood, one on Friday, one on Saturday. Peanut also squeaked whilst peeing around three times on Saturday. I haven’t heard him squeak since and the vet emailed me back to say a few spots of blood is totally normal.
I don’t want to speak too soon, but I think we’ve sorted Peanut out for good now. I think he’ll still be on loxicom permanently as it likely still is IC that he has, but other than that I’m happy with how he’s doing overall. I likely won’t be updating this thread again if all goes to plan :)

This is from quite a while ago. The member is still active but she did say she wouldn’t update if all goes well. If you’re worried you’re best off starting your own thread ☺️

Do we have any more updates please?
Everything went okay with Peanut, he still would have squeaky wees though for a couple of days every two weeks or so. The vets I spoke to about this, including Simon in Northampton (most skilled piggy vet in the uk), didn’t think there was anything to worry about. Since I last updated, Peanut has passed away of an unrelated issue.
If you’re worried about your piggy with a similar problem, you’re welcome to start your own thread about this :)

Oh no... so sorry to read this. What a shame after all you did to help him too. Very sorry for you. I have asked millions of times about my guinea pig but nobody knows what is wrong with him, so thought I would try asking my vet about IC as he is in alot of pain but it is when he is pooing. Thank you for replying.
