Junior Guinea Pig
Hi, how often can i give my piggies treats, at the moment they hardly ever get them, but how much and at what time of day please as well

Thank you, where would bell pepper come in?If you want to feed your piggies treats, as in extra snacks between meals, then if you stick to healthy options such as a stem of coriander/cilantro, or a small piece of cucumber, or a handful of fresh grass, or a handful of fancy hay, you can feed this daily.
Higher calorie treats such as a slice of carrot or corn or a small piece of fruit or a handful of porridge oats shouldnt be fed more than once or twice a week to healthy piggies.
Shop bought processed treats should really be avoided- hay cookies are ok made of compressed meadow hay and dried herbs only, and dried forage such as dried leaves and flowers can be a safe and healthy snack if you check they are formulated with piggies in mind- but many treats sold for guinea pigs are not at all suitable for them!
Ok thank you very muchBell pepper can also be fed daily![]()
