PiggySmitten
Adult Guinea Pig
Am going to get a vet appt for this little piggie of ours but wanted to see if anyone here has any views too on what it might be?
I picked her up tonight to see this on her nose. The tip is blackish but it's white for most of it. When I showed it to OH he said he'd noticed a little mark yesterday but was really surprised at it today.
I've very gently rubbed it with a soft towel in case it was just something stuck to her nose but it didn't seem willing to come off. She wasn't bothered remotely by what I was doing though so to touch it doesn't cause her any pain.
I've had a search on the forum but most posts on warts the photos don't seem to show any more.
Would also welcome views on whether this requires vet who specialises in exotics/small animals or not. I can get to a vet that doesn't relatively easily and used him recently for another piggie (living in a different group) who had a swollen toe. From chatting to him, he has obviously seen a few gps but doesn't describe himself as a specialist.
Sorry for not great photo - might try again in daylight!
