I ran out of celery and cucumber a few days ago so need to add that to my list as well as veg baby food.
Going to put a bowl of water in her cage as well as having the water bottle in case she's having difficulty with the water bottle.
I did put half a vit c tablet in her cage a few days ago, but it is still untouched :( She didn't even eat her broccoli :(
Going to brave pets @ home to see what they have which may help.

I've got a list off of the food page.
Will also add green peppers to my ever growing list.

Hello S&T :)

I wouldn't bother with Pets at Home. If you want to give her Vitamin C give her a quarter of a human 100mg tablet (preferably one with no sweetener). Pop it straight in her mouth and push it back a little to her molars - she should crunch it automatically.

Bear in mind that cabbage, carrot and broccoli should not really be daily staples. Cabbage is gassy and carrots and broccoli both have a lot of vitamin A which isn't good in high doses. Every other day should be ok, less for cabbage. There's an excellent nutrition chart here - http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum...cavys-diet-read-me-nutrition-charts-info.html

Thanks for that link :)
I'll cut down on the broccoli & cabbage to a couple of times a week.
They have about a carrot a day so that's ok.
They are currently munching away at some green pepper and cucumber :D

Try them with a few herbs every few days too, like parsley, corriander, basil, mint etc, they usually go down a treat with piggies! x

what ever you do add do it slowly as if you add too much too soon you may upset their tummies. hoping honey and poppy put on the weight soon. with the cucumber do you leave the skin on or take it off? do you use the long green one or the apple cucumber? just a wanted to know incase i decide to try it for mine. perhaps it's good little honey doesn't weigh much until her little legs get stronger. you have done wonders with the little mite. sending hugs and cuddles to you both :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: well done to you both! O0 O0 O0

There was some fresh mint when I went shopping, and 2 other herbs, but I couldn't remember which herbs I should get, I'm going to have to print those food lists off and take them with me!
I use the bog standard long green cucumber and give it to the piggies with the skin on.
The pepper wasn't a great success, I'll try it again in a day or 2, or they may have a midnight feast tonight ;D

Will be getting Honey out last for bed time hugs so will get her to chop that Vit C tablet! O0

Marmite is fist in the queue for cuddles tonight :smitten:
