So when I was out shopping for my piggies a couple days ago I was unable to find any small animal shampoo. Ididn't have time to go up to the next state (live in USA) to get some from a pet store or PetSmart either because I had groceries that needed to get in the fridge. So for now I got Johnson's Baby Shampoo with she butter and I think it has cocoa butter as well. I know the best shampoos for piggies are all natural with no chemicals but I was unable to get to any. I am also having trouble with my bank account so I had to get a prepaid card to buy supplies for my c&c cage online, but cannot make purchases outside of the USA, so gorgeous guineas is out of the question too.

So my question is, if I only use a little bit and only bath when necessary (should do this anyways) should this be ok for the time being?:...

I'm not 100% certain, but I think generally baby shampoo's are ok as they are more delicate. Maybe dilute it in a glass of warm water before applying it.

I have several American friends who use gorgeous guineas shampoos.

The card I need to use to purchase the shampoo online will not let me purchase anything outside of the USA. I tried buying some from gorgeous guineas but the card won't let me because it is not based in the US.:(

i have used johnsons original baby shampoo on all of my previous piggies, they have always been fine. had a guinea with UTI/ cystitus & was using on a daily basis at one stage with no problems & she had a wonderful baby smell to her :)

Not sure with the she butter or cocoa butter - not come across it before.

although by now you have probably sorted your card to make your piggie purchase from the wonderful gorgeous guineas :)
