I had 2 female Guinea pigs both around 3 years old. One of them sadly passed away a few months ago (was very sudden and unexpected), and I didn’t want her friend to be alone so I recently got 2 more females (or so I thought) turns out one was a male. I was devastated to find that he got both of my females pregnant. The younger girl gave birth to 3 pups 4 weeks ago. 2 of them I’m very confident are boys, but this little one I was sure was a girl but I’m second guessing myself and want to be 100% certain so I can make sure to seperate with the others if it is in fact male!
By some miracle, my 3 year old was able to give birth to 2 babies a couple of days ago and is still alive. I believe they are both the same sex and I think they are girls but again, after this predicament I’m stressed about being sure. The darker Guinea pig is the 4 week old, the lighter brown one is the little baby only about 2 days old. Thankful for any insight!

I’m not sure the first two pictures of the dark brown one are clear enough (unless it’s my eyes!) but it would be better if the pictures looked like the light brown one

Do you think the light brown is a girl?
The best confirmation is to be able to see inside the slit rather than just looking at the outside genitalia - you are looking for a fleshy seal inside on a sow (whereas a boar goes straight down)
Do you still have the dad?
Are the baby boys in with him temporarily (boar trios don’t tend to work long term)?

We rehomed the male, so just the 2 baby boys are together for now until we can find a home for them. They seem to be doing okay together at the moment! I’m very inexperienced as I never intended to have babies so it’s all very new and unfamiliar, and I just want to make sure I’m doing the right things!

Tried to get a better picture of the 4 week old. When I put gentle pressure above the genitals I can’t see anything like a penis protruding (I’ve watched countless videos trying to learn properly) so I still think it’s a girl but because the colouring is darker than all the others I’m having trouble knowing for sure. Honestly it might sound stupid but it doesn’t look the same as any other pictures I’ve seen so I’m confused as a novice! The newer babies I can wait another week to check when they’re a bit bigger as I don’t want to take them away from mum too much at the moment

Glad that all has gone well. In our nearly 20 years experience on here with unplanned births of all ages, the odds turn against successful births only once sows are past their natural ideal pup bearing age (which in their wild ancestor species coincides with average life span of 3 years). Until that age, more births will go well than not and you still can tweak the odds a bit more in your favour with your good general care.
It is very much a breeder myth that sows past the 'perfect' breeding age of 6 months are suddenly at death's door by 8 months. In fact, as we have found on here, it is a very gradual process over the course of several years. By 4 years, the risk of miscarriage and dead born/not viable pups is starting to become significant; by 5 years, death rates in the mothers are going up because there are more single larger pups (due to more embryos dying off early in the womb). By that age you can usually count yourself lucky if the mother survives; the majority of pups won't. Older pregnancies generally end with the death of both mother and pups.
The ginger baby on the right is definitely a girl. The other two picturesare unfortunately at an awkward angle and it is impossible to see the full genitalia, especially as there is quite a lot of pressure on them.
