Hmm I thought I heard it wasn't hitting us now so just checked out met office. Ireland will take the brunt of this and Scotland will be affected to. Perhaps western part of England but for the rest of us it should be a warm couple of days. Definitely glad to be living the eastern side of England right now :)

Definite East/West divide on this one. My piggies are indoors but we are in the “notable impacts”zone. Bet the wheelie bins will take a battering tomorrow.

Central England seems okay so far - quite a balmy autumn day here in the Brum area today. Hope it stays that way tomorrow, though as my piggies are indoors anyway I won't really be worrying about them, more about whether any of the neighbours' trees are going too blow over onto my house or garden...

Good luck to anyone in the at-risk areas

Should be interesting for me at work, we've got extra patrols on just in case.

My eldest is currently doing his DofE Gold expedition in the Lake District - so I hope it's not as bad in your neck of the woods @BossHogg as predicted or he might end up tent-less :yikes:

We've got a yellow warning for strong winds, the last time we were hit by hurricane strength winds, we had 9 articulated wagons blown over in 15 minutes! One landed on one of our patrol cars! :yikes:

Just checked and luckily its going far west and north to me. I said to the OH if it was coming here I would have to bring in the piggies. Not sure where I would put them though as there is no room for them in the house and the only space in the garage is about a 2 foot wide corridor between all the other junk to get from the front to the back and that is AFTER a clear out!

Stay safe everyone. Boss hope your day passes tomorrow without incident, stay safe big man x

Very calm in Scottish Borders but very dark with thick low clouds so feel something’s going to happen soon!

Ooo er Scary! Good luck and batten down the hatches! It is the calm before the storm. Hope you still have a roof on your house!

I just checked for here (near Lichfield) and we will be getting 40 mph gusts this pm, so not too bad :)

Sky is a weird colour here near Manchester. Other than that no signs of this hurricane.

It's was windy in South Bristol this morning. The light was very weird, very dark with orange tinges in the sky. The wind has died down a bit now (hope it stays that way). Stay safe everyone.

We are getting strong winds here, but nothing to bad. Except if next doors tree goes through my fence, we've only just put it up, we won't be happy, just think we may have caught the edge of it. We are in the South. Hope everyone keeps safe.

Sky is more orange tinge than yellow now and really dark like twilight and the wind has started to get up a bit. Stay safe everyone and look after those piggies!

We're North West and the sky is sepia and the sun is red. We've got a big tree leaning towards the back of the house so tonight we're moving the guinea pigs downstairs and to the front of the house so they are safe.
I've got an evacuation kit packed in case it does come down on the house, including a pop-up pen for the piggies!

In Hull at the moment, Sky is blue with a kind of dirty, rusty orange colour. A little breezy but not too much!
