serious Skin problems HELP! For Hels

Postie has delivered lots of lovely smellies for my guineas today from Chrissie at GG. I have used the Neem Oil on Stig this afternoon - OMG the smell - it's like Chinese Spare Ribs - sooooooooooooooooooooooooo lovely. I can smell it in the spare room as I go in.

He is doing ok by the way but I think he doesn't like me very much - all the picking up and checking - I have put a teddy bear in with him as he is so little and want him to be able to snuggle up (even though he is on a full plush Vetbed) - and he just runs behind Teddy when I walk in the room = :'(

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm may have to have Chinese for tea!! >:D

Helen, Tom, Daisy, Chaz and Dave and little Stig.

Just an update on little Stig. I have just got back from the vets. He is very pleased with his progress (you were right Graham - there is improvement I just couldn't see). He has given him another injection and said he can come downstairs in a day or two as long as he remains in his own cage, the vet is happy with a side by side arrangement.

This little boy will soon be ready for rehome so I will keep hold of him for the time being and get him a little more socialised with me (he hates me cos of all treatment) but will handle him daily etc and hopefulyl in a week or two I will see some good results from him and can advertise him for rehoming.

I will take pics next week I think as no real change at the moment. he will be stunning though so you had all better watch out for when Stig is ready for rehome - you simply won't be able to resist. He will tug at your heart strings.

Helen and gang.

That's great Helen, you aren't keeping him then? I would be soooo tempted! Is he eating well?

I don't think I am keeping him - I am very very tempted but I have just taken on Pumpkin Pie and really would have liked to get a sow to go with him (once he is castrated) - I said to Graham yesterday that I would see how Stig gets on with me and I may just try to bond Pumpkin and Stig - that would be perfect. BUT Pumpkin is mega nervous and Stig hates me ha ha ha.

Aww it takes time. Personally I would try bonding the two of them when Stig is all better, but it's up to you. :) How old is Pumpkin?

I think he is about 5 months old - not too clear on that actually must get Graham to confirm. Must get them both used to me individually first though before I can even think of bonding them as their nervousness will just rub off on to each other.

Stig was of course a surprise rescue for me - so I have always had in my mind I would rehome him. We will see. He is adorable and doing very well so I am thrilled about that - as a treat he is now getting some curly kale for his lunch - yum yum.

Hey come on over and see him..................... I dare you!

>:D

Aww mine love Curly Kale, they don't like cabbage though! :)

If I am ever up your way I'd love to see the pigs! I love Peruvians would love a herd of them one day! :D

Great news- its been a good day.

Went up to apply Stig's lavender and myrrh treatment and had cucumber with me. I applied the lotion to his face and he sat in my cupped hand and ate his cucumber whilst squeaking. Whether happy or cross - it was cool. First sign of bonding here. Great news. Am thrilled with him and that reaction to me.
