Rusty's not well

Thanks everyone. I had a walk this afternoon in the sun, it always recharges my mood. Today it made me feel better in more ways than one, 2 miles away there's a shop that sells very fresh just cut herbs. Rusty's now tucking into corriander and mint. There's some begging noises going on in the other cages but they have to wait 'till dinner time. That mint does smell amazing! I've found Rusty will eat if I give him a small amount of something straight after the nebuliser, it must be easier to breath and eat when he's just been in the vapour.
 
How is Rusty doing? Hope there’s some improvement? Sending him lots of healing vibes and hugs to you, you are having a rough time :hug:
 
Thank you @Bill & Ted his breathing is laboured, especially after the nebuliser I think this is possibly a good sign though as it means the gunk is loosening. He's eating a little for himself but not much, only his favourite things. I feel so bad for him but there's no more we can do at the moment. Any tests for type of bacteria or xrays involve sedation and neither I or the vet think that's a good idea as he is.

I hope the antibiotics soon kick in and he starts to feel better x
 
He's gone, peacefully in his favourite tunnel after a long cuddle on my lap this afternoon. There's a story to this I will post when I feel better, hard to see through the tears at the moment.

I am so sorry @piggieminder. It’s been a rotten day for the forum with some gorgeous piggies making their way to the Rainbow Bridge, and I’m gutted that Rusty has joined the travellers. Huge hugs. Be gentle with yourself - you gave him your best and he died at home surrounded by love xx

So sorry you lost Rusty. Sometimes the call of the Rainbow Bridge is just too strong and they just have to go.
