Hi my 2 year old sow has just been introduced to a 9 week old sow and now the 2yr old has had some runny Poo on her bottom. When the New Guinea pig came she was on different pellets so we mixed the two pellets (we we’re advised to do that). We also were given hay grass (the breeder said that she’d been eating that as well as Normal hay)
We thought that introducing the new pellets and hay grass might have cause my older piggy stomach problems so we’ve taken them away. I have cleaned her below area as it was covered in the poo with Luke warm water and a cotton swab.
We called the lady we got the new piggy from and she said that lettuce could be the cause of it but I’ve been feeding her lettuce for a while now without an issue. She also said it could be that she’s worried or just a coincidence.
I was just wondering if someone had been through the same thing and had any advice or suggestions
Many thanks
