Thank you guys :-) I feel a bit silly sitting here getting all tearful but I was all ready to pick him up tomorrow. :(

I am very sorry for you! it is a tough decision to make. Hopefully p@h will take back the unused stuff.
There will be a time when things will be right for you and you will enjoy it more for that.

You are most welcome to stay on here and learn about piggies, or you can get involved with supporting a rescue.

Thank you everyone :) You are all so nice. Just what I need right now tbh. I will hang around and learn some more about gpigs for sure. Maybe I can get my own in a year or two when I move... :) The little boy I was going to adopt was just lovely. I remember he was sitting there nibbling gently on my shirt when I held him and I fell in love at that moment. :)

It is ever so hard to walk away; many of us had to do it at some point! We fully understand what we are asking of you and how you are feeling right now. Have a little cry if it helps you; you are a caring person and will make a very loving piggy mummy one day!

Thank you so much. It is heart wrenching. Especially to think that p@h will be selling the little guy to someone else and they may not research gpig care, etc. I really hope he finds a good home & I just wish it could have been mine.

I feel bad for you :( I've had various landlords with all my pets in the past few years - one myself and my housemate hid half the cages we had every inspection! My last landlord was happy with piggies, and for my current place I went through a couple of rejections for having pets before my now landlord accepted on the basis that I leave an extra £200 deposit for a professional clean after. It is tough when we rent and have or really want pets to keep us company. As others have said though, stick around the forum and you'll learn so much about piggies you'll feel completely confident when you get the chance in the future to be a piggy owner!

Just read this thread :( Really sorry, there is plenty of time for piggies in the future for you I am sure. Welcome to the forum and well done to you for doing your research and thinking of offering this little guy a home. One day you'll make a great piggy slave. Please feel free to stay on the forum and ask questions, research and chat. We have a photos section too for you to drool over :))

Thank you Lee :-) I appreciate the kind words.

I am sorry its not going to work out. But its probably for the best, especialoy if you cant have 2 piggies as they do need companionship even if its just next to other piggies. Stick around and swot up. You may even gather enough information and supply info on how to keep a pair outside. It can be done, vut requires alot of stuff!
