When I gave Patsy her weekly check this morning, she had lost 50g for a start which is completely unlike her. Usually she loses between 15-20g or gains. So that started to raise the red flag. Then when I checked her over for lumpy bumpies her underside was OK but the closer down her spine to the hip area of her back I got the more she complained until when I was over her hips she was really unhappy. Patsy doesn't say much so this was really the red flag flapping away at the top of the flag pole. I've given her some Metacam to help with any pain she may be in. Patsy has never complained before at a weekly check apart from biting the toes of her front feet which she does when she gets anxious as she hates weekly checks particularly her teeth being checked. Patsy is still eating, drinking and pooping. She has an appointment with Aunty Rachel tomorrow afternoon at 3.15.

Aww poor girl, I hope it is nothing serious ❤️

Oh poor Patsy. That’s not pleasant for her. Well done getting her an appointment tomorrow and for giving her some Metacam to keep her comfy while you are waiting to see the vet. Hope it’s nothing serious.

Poor gorgeous Patsy. Hope your vet trip goes well tomorrow and she feels better soon ❤️ x

Sending the very best of wishes for little Patsy, hope it’s easily sorted x

Sending best wishes to Pretty Patsy, I hope vet Rachel will be lots of help and you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear this. I hope Patsy feels better soon!

🤞🏾 it’s minor. What a dedicated slave to pick up so quickly on the change. ❤️

Healing wheeks for Patsy, hopefully just some minor old lady arthritis you can manage with metacam but good she's getting checked by the vet x

Aww Patsy, poor girl. Will be thinking of her and checking in to see how she does💚

Patsy has old lady arthritis and needs the same dose of Metacam as Meg (0.3ml twice a day). I'll have to give Patsy her's first as she is a little whatsit and tries to nick Meg's if I give Meg her dose first. I may have to separate them to make sure Patsy and Meg get the correct doses. I'll see how it goes.

Aww Patsy you little old dear. I’m glad you spotted the problem and had it diagnosed so fast! Amazing piggy mom. Glad she’s feeling more herself now that she has the meds to manage it.

Such a wonderful piggy mum.
Perhaps Patsy just wants her share of nice yummy metacam. After all Meg has some.xx

Glad it was nothing untreatable. I agree she just wants Metacam. FOMO.

I've just seen this thread and was about to say maybe it could be arthritis. Hope she's feeling better soon now she's on metacam x

It’s good you got her seen so quickly. Hopefully she will be good on the metacam. Piggy kisses to Pretty Patsy 😘
