Possible Bumblefoot/urine scald?

We made the decision to have Prawn euthanised today. The vet was lovely, she offered to keep him overnight and try treating him but really we were all agreed that wouldn’t be in Prawn’s best interest. He basically hasn’t stopped seizing for about 24 hours.

When she tested his senses, she couldn’t really tell that he was responding properly, he seemed semi-conscious to be honest. He didn’t want to even eat pea flakes so we knew it was time.

He was a wonderful little companion and nearly saw his 5th birthday in spite of his epilepsy and blindness. Here he is in better days. Prawn ♥️

BIG HUGS

I am very sorry. You have made absolutely the right decision and have spared Prawn unnecessary suffering in his last hours/days of life. It is the most precious, loving and heartbreaking decision we can ever make our beloved ones. You haven't failed Prawn in any way.

Getting Prawn to live a normal healthy life span with his epilepsy handicap is a major achievement. Try to focus on that and try to cherish the precious years he has been an integral part of your life. You will carry that love in your heart forever.
