A lot of vets do conscious dentals but not all have the expertise that Kim and Simon have. I had another vet do a conscious dental on my Tim but he still needed to go to Simon after as it did not solve his issues.

Please get in touch with me. We may be able to offer him a permanent place at TEAS. Obviously his little friend would be very welcome too!

Sorry for not getting back sooner. Benji checked out fine and didn't need his teeth filing at the 1st months checkup and SImon said it was the best possible result that could be hoped for. He did say that he wasn't out of the woods yet and that the next 6-8mths would show whether the actual teeth roots were damaged or not. Only thing was that his weight dropped and I had to try to feed him calorie rich foods to bulk him up...His front teeth were fine and at the horizontal so there seemed to be no problems there.

However, I have noticed his weight dropped this past week and his face was looking a bit fluffed up again past 2-3 days but I didn't check his teeth until this morning. They are starting to be at and angle again but not high up and in the middle so it's very recent. There is some brown stuff on the other side of his mouth that looks like dried dribble which may be the nuggets. He was doing so well, eating nuggets again and even purring a few days ago when I stroked him but now seems a little wary and scared. Obviously, he needs to see the vet ASAP so I will make an appointment. It could just be (hopefully!) that he needs filing as it was never done and I'm getting ahead of myself thinking the abscess is back.

I was wondering if you are still able to possibly offer him a permanent home as my worst fears seem to have materialised and it seems like he is ending up a dental piggy and will need regular checks and treatment. I was really hoping and thinking this would be it and he would be with me until he went over the Rainbow Bridge :( I will send you a message on here now.
