Pigging Out

We're on our way to the boarders to drop off the monsters. We're going on a holiday for 2 weeks. Hopefully the piggies will be fine. This will be the first time they will stay on the boarders because our regular boarders will also be on holiday. The only worry I have though is they use wood shavings and my piggies has never tried that out yet. I brought their 4 fleece tunnels just in case they would want something soft to lie in or on top of. The enclosure is quite big though so it's great.

When Harry and his RB wives went to a boarders they were on shavings for the first time (to my knowledge) and they were absolutely fine. Don't worry and have a lovely holiday!

Thank you all! Hubby and I just arrived in the hotel in Heathrow. Flipping traffic, and I managed to drive halfway of the journey on the motorway for the first time because hubby is not feeling well for the past 2 days. Let me tell you, I won't be able to drive without a gps! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyway, here are my monsters at the boarders, it's just been posted in their FB page. ๐Ÿ˜

Sorry your husband isnโ€™t too well.
Hope he recovers quickly and it doesnโ€™t spoil the holiday
He wasn't feeling well for the past 2 days. He can't get any sleep because he doesn't know what's really causing it. He said he's lacking energy, might be low on sugar or something. He has been having health problems for a year now and he has been tweaking all his diet and medication. For some reason, he has started getting bad again this past few weeks, started when he had the throat infection around 2 months ago, which lasted 3 weeks. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ He has autoimmune disease so when one thing goes wrong, everything is messed up. He is currently sleeping it off and hoping he'll be much better tomorrow. Or else, the worst thing is we can't go on holiday and lose all the money we spent on flights. It's a good thing hotel payments and car hire will be when we arrive in America.

Sending healing vibes to your husband. I really hope he perks up by tomorrow and you get away. A holiday might just be what he needs.

Well, we had to rebook our flight to Feb next year. Hubby is still not well. He will go to the doctors tomorrow to sort out what's really going on with him. Had to pay extra for rebooking. But we can't cancel the valet parking at the airport and the hotel in LA. Not enough time to cancel. Good thing the car hire and hotel in Vegas are cancellable because we haven't paid yet. Oh well, it's just an overnight staycation in London. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

We just checked out and we'll pick up the piggies today too. We have to pay half the boarding fee..but the boarder doesn't want us to pay anything at all. Hubby told him we will pay half and he needs to think about his small business. ๐Ÿ˜‚ So that's all around ยฃ500 money gone for us today. ๐Ÿ˜‘

So sorry that you had to cancel your holiday.
Hope the doctor can get to the root of your husbandโ€™s health problem.

Will your insurance refund some of your loss ?

How kind your husband is insisting on paying some of the piggiesโ€™ boarding fees.

Iโ€™m so sorry your husband is still unwell and youโ€™ve had to move your holiday. How disappointing for you both. I hope his doctor can find out what the problem is. When you go in February hopefully he will be feeling much better and youโ€™ll both have a wonderful time.

Not sure if we can claim from the insurance. But the insurance has ยฃ200 excess and the cost of the valet parking is that amount. The hotel in LA cost around ยฃ67 for one night. We'll have to see tomorrow if we can claim something.

Bryce definitely missed the comfort of his fleece beds. He hasn't been out much of this bed today. He won't even let Whitney get in it. ๐Ÿคฃ He lost around 70g in just a day! I weighed them yesterday when we got home. Whitney didn't lose any weight. So Bryce really wasn't happy being away from his home. He has been eating a lot today so I'm sure he'll gain it all back. ๐Ÿ˜

Just heard about the earthquakes in the Philippines.
Hope your family are all safe
Thank you. The earthquake is quite down south of the country and my family lives in Manila (think of something like Cumbria in the North West and where the earthquake is something as far as Suffolk in East Anglia).
