Photo's On The Site

Are they old threads ?
Hi,
in this thread for instance (Member Gallery: C&C cages/homemade cages) i see where the image should be with like a speedometer saying Please update your account to enable third party hosting. Didn't know if it meant i need like a premium guinea pig account. Or Because I was using my mobile. However on works computer it does the same.

No, it's not you . I think it's to do with the poster and changes with photobucket.

Will tag @sport_billy for more info

Photobucket has changed their policies and now want a rediculous amount of money a year to use their services. As you can imagine, not a lot of people are using it now.
One of the many fab things about this forum is you don't need third party hosts any more, you can upload straight from your phone or computer :yahoo: :D

Hey Tim, thanks for the information, I'm now viewing the last pages in picture threads and working backwards. They all seem to shiw if fairly recent.

Yes, a very long time ago the forum did not have the hosting to upload photos and you had to use somewhere like photo bucket. These days have gone now so you can upload straight to forum. Unfotunately Amy old photo bucket photos hosted with them will no longer show :(

Aww that is ashame, as well as looking at the beautiful little piggies, I am also getting lots of idea's for the floor space I am setting up for them. So would have been good to see them all :D

If they want money from me to use their service, I'll give them a 'salute' in return! ;) :))

What kind of setup are you thinking of, C&C?

Yeah, it is a shame, gutted about some threads but nothing I can do unfortunately

C&C seem a bit difficult to come buy in the local hardware stores where I live (Leigh, Greater Manchester).
I am going to use either one of the following for the perimiter, small wooden fenceposts (like picket fence). Plexi or Wood and an appropiate mesh.
For the floor I'm going to use a variety of different textures so their little paws can feel fleece, Woodshavings. I want to find something for the bridges so their toenails can natuarlly wear down.
I will be using a few tunnells for general play, snugs and hideaways for sleeping.
I saw in one picture someone had a hammock for their guineas but didn't know if I could use them or not.
Before I can do this though, i need to get rid of the table in the ktichen and the couch.
Like i said previously I want to build it so there can be a quarentine zone and possibly divider

Wow, sounds like quite a project! :D The cubes are rarely in the shops now. B&Q stopped selling them quite a while ago and online suppliers are asking silly money for them sometimes. There are people out there that will build a setup for your requirements. I've never used them but have heard they are of great quality :)

Hoe it doesn't come across as I am complaining. This site is great and finding it really helpful. It's nice to be on a forum and not instantly be flamed :D

Absolutely not :)

It will have ruined quite a few of our old threads. If I'd known I could have possible saved some photos and re uploaded.

The forum is your forum and I have always said the community is the most important thing here and what sets us apart from others. We try to be a real community here and welcoming. I always want new members to feel they'd love to stay and be part of it :)

Tim,
I notice on the bottom of your responses it mentions you have 6 boys. Can I ask, do they all live together in one space or is it divided? Were they introduced over time or all 6 from birth? How big of a space do you have for 6?

They live in pairs, 3 separate setups. Each pair live in an area of 13 square feet :)
During lawntime, each pair are in their own 24 square feet setup which are all together. They get on fine through the bars, although I have had them all together in one huge pen before now (supervised) during lawn time, not wise :lol!:

I can still use Photobucket and I haven't paid a penny!

I must be special :drool::gp:
I think it depends on what you do with the photos after you put them on photobucket ;) If you just put them on their and leave them, you won't have to pay anything. I don't use it so I don't fully understand what's going on.

I can still use it to upload to other forums
