Pepper is on the look out for a new friend

So today when I hopefully bring back a new friend for Pepper do I put Pepper in the bonding run first and then let him sniff the baby while I’m holding him or just place the baby straight in as well? I’m a bit nervous. It’s a big day. 🤞
I would place Pepper in first and then immediately put the baby in too.
I wouldn't hold the baby, as this will limit their natural interactions and behaviour (like running away freely to show submission).

Will they meet at the rescue first?

Pebble keeps lunging at Pepper when Pepper won’t leave him alone. There’s no teeth involved he just hits Pepper with his face whilst squeaking. I’m reading it like he’s just telling Pepper off

Chester is being the referee. 🤣

Please don't allow Chester to sit near the bonding pen like that.
You may be confident that he won't do anything, and Pepper may be used to him, but this will be terrifying for Pebble on what is already a very stressful day.
Having a large predator animal who smells strange will not help him settle, and right now you need to prioritise the bonding process.

Thank you. They also had a pet dog running around their pen when we got there to pick him up. He doesn’t seem scared at all. He’s pottering about, eating loads of hay and sleeping with his eyes shut. 😍

Can I put two hides in with them this evening? Or still just hay ?

Pebble is adorable, lovely name too. :luv:

Hope Pebble & Pepper had a good night together.
