Hey,

Little question. I have bought the boys oxbow vit c tablets & Billy loves them & will eat the tablet on its own.

I have read people on here saying their pigs take the tablets, am I ok to cut this up into 4 and allow him to eat it this way? It won't hurt his teeth or choke him will it, I mean it's surely like him eating a nugget of food?

Just checking. He is a funny little man, Rodney won't touch anything out of the ordinary like that!

It's fine to cut them up to a smaller size if he will take it that way. make sure he crunches them down and follow up with some water if necessary.

He crunches :)

Fab thanks, so chuffed he will eat them himself! They do smell nice!

Has anyone used Holland & Barrett powdered vit C? I bought some the other day as it was a huge tub, very cheap & has no other additives but just vit C powder :)

How do you then give them the powder? Cos Rodney won't touch food if I sprinkle anything on it. He just looks at me in disgust.

I did notice the oxbow had other things in it and read that human form is better but it's very hard to get human vit c in small doses, the ones I pop are 500mg!

I am just going to put some in some filtered water & offer them it via syringe :) All mine chase a syringe if shown one; they snatch it out of my hand lol :)

Wow! Haha. I will look into that esp for Rodney as think he isn't processing it the way he should, all that expensive veg I buy & he had a deficiency. I am still stunned!

Well if Rodney is a Rex piggy like mine he will take it happily from the syringe lol :) I think it's just because they are so greedy!

I have the Daily C tablets and mine currently spit them out. If the time comes that they definitely need them I will need to syringe them. Their digestive vitamins they adore and would have the whole tub if they could, I have little piggy trains following me around when I give them out.

He is a Rex and he did like it from the syringe, but after this syringe feeding weekend I doubt he will be happy to take anything by syringe now!
Billy will happily munch them.
