;D

What a little sweetheart, so pleased he's settled in :) He'll be ruling the roost before you know it ;)

A little update, had all three to the vets yesterday, Gizmo and Pixie are fine and healthy so no worries.

When the vet saw Spike she asked what age he was. I explained the shop claimed six weeks and she doubted it as well. At a guess she reckoned four. She was more concerned that if he was six weeks old then she suspected a couple of things, possible mange due to bad skin and weight loss or that he wasn't just the runt of a litter but was the result of a little too much "inbreeding" and would forever have health problems such as breathing issues etc..... :(

At this point she tried to pick Spike up and he decided he would show her just how fit and fast he was by sprinting around the box 98), as soon as she caught him he decided he would show he didn't have breathing problems by producing a supersonic squeak that could almost break glass :o. The vet was highly impressed with his lung capacity and asked a couple more questions.

How many guinea pigs were housed with him? Was he scratching a lot and how was he eating?

I told her there were five other pigs with him and he seemed to be getting bullied. This seemed to satisfy her and she thought since he wasn't scratching and was eating like a little muncher that his skin condition was also as a result of the bullying........

He got his skin treatment and has to go back in a week for the second application, but last night he was as perky as usual and has decided he now loves green beans, so hopefully he'll put weight on and get his fur nice and shiny and healty..... :smitten:

I knew he would develop some attitude! The littlest ones always do! Like little dogs they feel they have to make up in personality what they lack in size! Don't you just love it when they get like that!
Enjoy!

awww. you've got yourself a guinea with attitude there! ;D ;D ;D hope the treatment works. poor little fella, being bullied like that. and the shop keepers didn't even care/notice and they didn't do anything about it? some people are mad :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
anyway at least the little cutie is with you now. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: you should have known he'd be a handful by his size and hair do ;D awww soo cute :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Ok, here's a couple more pic's now he's getting brave...... I moved the cages together on the floor for the first time today, the introductions have began......... I 'm sure I heard him squeaking "How you doin......?" in a New York Guinea Pig accent...... 88)

The ladies were very interested, although he's still less than half their size.......... ;D
