Stripe has had a white spot on his eye for 9 months. His vet suggested it was from an old hay poke and he has been back to the vet with CBS several times and she says it's not getting worse.

Is it from an old hay poke? Or is it osseous malplasia? I can't really get a picture, I live alone.

I’m afraid we couldn’t guess whether you are dealing with osseous metaplasia or a long term mark caused by a healed haypoke.
Your vet is best placed to diagnose

Hi

Your vet is better placed to decide whether the mark is osseous metaplasia (soft eye tissue becoming bony tissue) or whether it is the remains of a hay poke if it is a little cloudy but still just by the eye surface and not in the lens (which would be a cataract).

There is no treatment needed or possible for any of these issues, so it essentially doesn't really matter what exactly it is; especially if it stays put.

Due to lack of access we cannot tell you what exactly you are dealing with.
