Opinions on Dresser Cages?

I would not advise this type of cage. Your boys need to have the interaction through bars or whatever separator, and those cages wouldn’t be big enough for even one piggy.

Looks like they took the drawers out, and then just stuck clear acyrlic sheets across as a window and barrier, then put metal stoppers on to hold it in place. I would be concerned about both of you're guine apigs not being able to se eachother though
What if I split it into two sections and had a clear barrier between it so they could see eachother? Would that work?

Having a divide between is absolutely fine to enable them to see each other, but each cage still needs to meet size requirements - a cage of of 120cm x 60cm for each pig meaning a total length of 240cm would be necessary. None of the ones on the pictures are big enough on be split up the middle.

The vast majority of dresser cages are sadly style over substance - they look lovely at the expense of the piggies' floor space. The key thing is to ensure that the actual floor space on one level meets the minimum requirements on one level alone.

This one looks big enough, atleast a 140cm. it makes the ramp more shallow aswell, I would use this and fit an extractor fan in the ceiling of the top aswell

I don't think this has enough head room, my popcorners would be banging their heads in this. It may make the 120 length but I doubt it's 60 wide (80 wide is better). I really dislike this kind of thing, there's not enough room for zoomies, it's way to cramped.

Yea I think you have a good point. I like this to be fair ( see link) I can't fault it, other than the table legs need protecting Opinions on Dresser Cages?

Someone did say once that the TV lights and the sound wouldn't be fair, but in my opinion that is just micro picking faults just for the hell of it. You may aswell just not have pets if you'd worry to these lengths, I seen alot of that on this forum

That one is the best I've seen. It has been purposely made for piggies though rather than a converted cupboard. As for the TV, I would be concerned about that as it's overhead, I wouldn't put the TV on the cage! I don't think there's anything perfect out there to be honest, we all do the best we can within our budgets and our circumstances. We did look at building something about 8 years ago but it was incredibly expensive to buy the wood and perspex so we decided not to go down that route. When my OH saw the C&C cages he said that's a really clever idea but it could be alot better (he's the one to make the better, just needs to find the time). I really like C&C because it's so versatile, I've changed my grids around a lot over the years, changing the size and shape with changing numbers and personalities of pigs. The corex is like a jigsw puzzle with the added bits stuck on with Duck Tape!

Yea c and c can't be beaten for versatility I don't think. If that's a word lol. I'm lucky, I work for a sign company, so I can get correx, perpsex acyrlic, wood, all for free as offcuts. I might upgrade to a c and c. Depends if we rescue some gerbils we have been offered or not. Another reason why I Havnt got a c and c yet is because a local cat kept sneaking in the house round my feet. And I was worried he would get inside a c and c cage, but that cat has been taken now by the rspca

Personally I would wall mount that TV and not have the sound bar there next to it

My guineas live in a C&C cage on the landing upstairs and my partner gets annoyed as if we're watching a film and it gets too loud (like an explosion. fighting etc), I tell him to turn the TV down so the guinea pigs don't get frightened!

Yea sometimes I get a little worried they might get startled, but the TV doesn't bother mine, but loud music bothers my sow guinea pig. It's the bass she hates, so I make sure I have the bass set very low down. I know when she's bothered, because she will not come out of her house, as soon as it stops she's come sout again

I'd be worried about ventilation with some of those. Depending where you live but I find it hard on bad heatwave summers like 2018 to keep the piggies cool and fresh. I don't think this would help.
