Oat hay

I thought I’d try the piggies (almost wrote kids ) on oat hay. I don’t know if they’ll like it though. They each had a few blades then went back to eating their soft Timothy.

Hubby bought the piggies a small box of oat hay in the past. The fussy didn't even eat it. So I had to give it to hubby's daughter who has 2 piggies and a rabbit. When I started buying Piggy Parcels and it has oat hay, they suddenly liked it!

I left some in their hay tray. I’ve got my fingers crossed but if they don’t like it it’s not the end of the world. I’ll just donate it somehow.

Taco and Rafi love oat hay! Sometimes I blend it with orchard grass as a special treat and they really seem to enjoy the combo.

I bought oat hay for my two boys a couple of weeks ago and they loved it they got through it fast.

All 3 of mine love oat hay. I mix it in with Timothy and buy the Oxbow brand.

They do seem to like it. I’ve given them a little more today. I’m worried about haypoke so don’t want to do a big pile

Sorry if this is not helpful, but I just feed my guinea pigs the Timothy hay, I‘ve never fed them oat hay.

Botanical grass is another nice hay to treat piggies with; I add a little forage to it too. It is also a lot softer.
