Nugget Has A Grease Gland Tumor

Oh poor Nugget, that does sound rather uncomfortable. But good to hear that he’s more like his old self today. Hope his recovery continues to go well.

How is Nugget today?
How are you today?
Nugget has a sore bum, his testicles are pulling on the stitches. When he's not trying to wiggle into a comfy sitting position he is marching up and down the cages making a lot of noise and teeth chattering at me and Rusty, he is in a right strop.
I am very well thank you, taking everything as it comes. I had a 4 mile round walk to buy a big bag of corriander in the sun this afternoon, it seems to be Nugget's favourite food at the moment. He is eating, not quite enough so only having 2 top up syringe feeds a day, morning and evening. This is an easy routine for me so I'm not feeling stressed about it all.

Nugget is really grumpy, he's been chattering his teeth at everything that moves today. Wound is healing really well and he's eating and drinking as normal. He threw himself and his teeth at Rusty tonight so I've put a divider in the cage, the teeth missed Rusty's nose this time but I can't risk it. Feel a bit gutted after things were going so well with them.

I’m sorry it’s gone downhill again. At least you won’t wonder what if. Hope Nugget is more his pleasant self soon.

Hopefully once he feels a bit more like himself you could try a reintroduction?

Mr Grumpy is a lot calmer today, didn't even try to nip me when I got him out for meds! The wounds looking good, nice and healthy colour. I'd like him to be eating more hay, he loves the syringe food and trys to take the syringe out of my hand. He doesn't really need syringe food now but a small bit twice a day makes giving fibreplex so much easier, he spits it out if it's not mixed in something.

Glad he's recovering well x

Not sure how I missed this, but glad to hear that he's recovering well. Piggies do love to give us a good scare once in a while, don't they? He's lucky that he has you to take care of him.

Thank you @Hope4gem and everyone else who has offered support. Nugget is recovering well. I had a bit of a panic this afternoon when there was hardly any poop in the cage when I went to clean the piggies out. Then realised poop is 2 days behind eating, in which case he didn't eat Tuesday afternoon so that's probably it. This evening he made up for it, mounds in the cage and 20+ poops in my lap just now when he had his meds and a cuddle!

Nugget had his post operation follow up today. The vet is very pleased with him and won't need to see him again. She removed the biggest margin she could, it's in a difficult place but hopefully it won't come back again. He's eating well and behaving normally, demanding food and avoiding cuddles. On anti biotics once a day for another week so he's still going to be captured and tortured for that and fibreplex, sorry Nugget!
