*Nostalgia* Fave toy as a young 'un!

I have 3 cos I couldnt choose just 1!

1) My bro's SNES - loved Marion Kart! Used to play on it so much with my bro it got red hot! :D

2) My 'Wrinkle's dog puppet called Sarah I got for xmas when I was about 5. :smitten:

3) I used to call it a disco ball but it's called a 'moon hopper' apparently! It's a funny shaped ball with a plastic disc going all the way around it. You used to stand on this plastic disc and grip the ball in between your feet. Used to take mine to primary school. They always used to burst! >:( They were brill tho! O0


Loved them all to bits! Ahhh... the memories
 
my Barbie doll and Tiny tears well I was the only girl I use to love my skip jump thing as well you have a hoop round your ankle with a ball on a rope at the end and jump as you swing it round your leg
 
Sylvanian Families and my barbies. I really hated Sindy for some reason but I had Sindy's boyfriend Paul because he was better looking than Ken :)

I always wanted a scaletrix though but my mum said they were for boys :(
 
I just remember like piggyloon above, playing on my bro's snes for hours and hours playing mario kart! haha we played it for so many hours - i hated that princess and needed to beat her - plus I wanted to beat my brother and played it soooo much ended up being mario kart champion lol hehe

My favourite toy was my 'mrs bow' - she was my toy rabbit and I loved her soooo much - still got her - she moved with me :) hehe
 
My all time favourite was my Huggy Bear and my chicoboo :smitten: I also loved my palitoy tree house and my fisher price school house.
I still have my Chicoboo and my Huggy Bear ;D a few years ago I went on a nostalgia trip and brought a school house boxed on ebay looked like it had never been played with. I keep looking for a tree house but half the pieces are missing to most ::)

I used to have one of those balls too! I used to be on the thing all day long! My littlle ponys were a fav too.
 
my teddy called Little Ted,he was stuffed more times than Paris Hilton,hes up in the loft somewhere :-\

My toy was a Teddy called Pandy, he's on my draws cuddling my other Teddies infact. I luurrve teddies!
 
My teddy Edwina and my andrex puppy Paddy (both almost 30yrs old now and still in my bedroom where they glare at OH from their vantage point on the chest of drawers!). I also loved my chicaboos, barbies, Lego, my bike and my spacehopper!
But we probably had most fun with my dad's wheelbarrow - me and the other kids would run up and down the road pushing each other in it!

Yeah she was a right pain in the arse!  I was always toad and my bro was kooper trooper! This meant princess and dk junior were always our main rivals!

Honestly  ::) that game was so predictable!  ;D  I knew all the good places to put those bananas! Love the music of the end credits when youve completed the game  O0  BEST GAME EVER! (sorry - just realised I put 'Marion' kart on my original post- Duh! Meant Mario!)

My 'big box'. For years I had a cardboard box which I used like a Wendy House. Mum even brought me a canvas wendy house becasue it was so tatty in the end & was really on big cube shaped piece of selotape. Didn't use the Wendy House of course! Big Box was the venue for many tea partys with the cat & dog.

A dolls house my grandad made for me. Itscurrently being restored (by me slowly!) for Eve to have. Its still got some of its 70's avacardo bathroom furniture with it >:D

Upstairs Bear, my teddy bear that lived upstairs funnily enough. He's upstairs now in my bedroom.

A wooden wheelbarrow made for me by the lovely old man who used to look after me nextdoor. I used to help him grow his veg - now I wonder actually how helpful I was?!

I had quite a few My little Ponies. The nice 'vintage' ones of course. I don't think that these were my favourite toys though. The new ones look so face lift / botox / size 0 compared to the first ones. My daughter now has my old ones and I've noticed that she & her friends to tend to veer towards them rather than the new ones. A more natural look!

Wow how wierd - I was always kooper Trooper and my bro was toad! hahaha I hated that princess grrrrr lol hehehe - now you got me wanting to play again for old times sake! :)

ME too! We obviously from the same era! My nan bought me a teeny tiny tears too and knitted matching ponchos for me and the dolls - oh gosh I though I was the bee knees! Shamed........

Mine was a doll called Baby Alive, I also had the Teddy that was given to me the day I was born (I'm 37 Sunday) it has gone through all my children and here we are...... get to the last child and she put it in the dogs basket and he has eaten it :'( :'(

My oldest bears - Pooh and Bear-Bear who were the same size as me when I had them
Mr Bear - I remember choosing him with my grandad
Lidley - who was a humpty dumpty kind of craeture

Anyone liked trolls?! Didnt collect them but remember wanting the big soft bodied baby with a tuft of hair on its head. Didnt get one tho.

It was my little pony and care bears when I was growing up :) Also I had the birds with long tails, made like my little ponies(same plastic etc) but can't for the life of me remember what they were called 98) :embarassed:

I had a little care bear - it was pink with the rainbow on it's tummy. :smitten: Also had a spot the dog and a superTed!

Changing the subject a bit.... I had a care bears lunch box! Before this I had a 'wuzzles' one! Anyone remember them? My friend used to have a cuddly toy of the yellow bear with butterfly wings?! Cant remember the character's name. Then I had a lunch box with the the little mermaid on! :D

Oh i have so many i can't choose ;D

my glow worm, giving from my nana used to sleep on he end of my bed with various other teddies.

my tiger teddy, parents bought me for my 2d birthday, tigers being my faverite aniaml since i got it. It's in the loft losing half it's fur and has one eye left, i used it as a pillow for years :D

My collection of sylivian families, had tonnes of videos to.

My huge pingu collection andthe vdieos to. :P

Polly pocket, i had the heart necklace i loved that one ;D

My colection of barbie dolls, had every one going up till i was about 12 or something there were bags and bags of them i gave them to m only neice when i got to old fo them :)

Also not a toy but i had a huge collection of videos, my faves being cogs hollow and Bill and ben, my mam sys she remembers me watching it then rewinding it all day long, used to drive her mad ;D

Oh yes and not to forget care bears :D i loved the care bears :)

I told you to many to choose from these are what i remember ;D

EDIT: about trolls, does anyone remember the ones you would get in the 20p machines at the corner shop, bought one every time i went in, lol i was obsessed, also those little sticky people you throw at the wall and they would climb down by the hands and feet and marbles to who can forget marbles :)

That was Butterbear (saddo that I am ;D) I've just got my Hoppopotamus and the matching book out of my Mom's loft and i'm currently cleaning it up for my 4 year old, he thinks it's brilliant and he already knows which houses they all live in in the book! My brother had Rhinokey, then there was Eleroo, Bumblelion, Moosel and i'm sure a few others but my minds gone blank :embarassed:

I also liked Care Bears, My Little Pony and I had the snail one of the Keepers. Oh, and a Cabbage Patch Kid and a Cabbage Patch Baby - I loved them :smitten:
