Nose scab... Help pleaseee

Have they gained weight in the past week?
We are trying to be as helpful as we can, but it seems you can’t get them food or vet care easily and those things are the most important things
You need to be providing a few kilos of hay to them each week. I use 15-20kg of hay per month, so about 3-5kg per week roughly. This is the realities of owning guinea pigs, they simply must have hay all the time. Hay and grass is the only food they need really need to have (veg and pellets are merely snacks) so without hay and grass in large quantities they aren’t getting a proper diet.
The health issues need a vet and while we can support you, there is nothing you can do for them at home yourself, they need a vet for diagnosis and treatments .

Hi. Vets should be able to diagnose ringworm (or other skin conditions) . It's the same test as for cat or a dog, but results take while to come back so you really need to look into the links provided to ensure your cleaning is efficient.

I think you are against endless nightmare. Maybe you could speak to rescue or animal welfare organisation and see what can be done in regards to breeders being able to sell animals if their main food source (hay) and vet service isn't available. It really isn't fair of them to put you and the poor pigs through this. It sounds like you're small community and hopefully words of reason could prevent more people being in situation like yours.

Helloo yesss thanksss.
I gave my piggies lots of vitamins and probiotics ect
.. And right now, my piggie has no nose scab and the other piggy also has none of the dandruff. Hopefully, with good care healthy food, my piggies will remain in good health.

Vitamins and probiotics won’t sort it if it’s ringworm. Remember it’s highly infectious and can pass onto you.

:agr: Vitamins and probiotics will not cure any medical condition. They aren’t medicines.
If it is ringworm, and the spores haven’t been killed with medicine and a good vet strength cleaner within the cage, then the spores will simply stay within the environment (for up to a year and a half) and can reinfect you and your piggies.

A healthy diet can help keep their immune system functioning but sadly even with the very best of care, piggies get sick and need vet care, medication and where necessary supplementary syringe feeding to stop the gut from shutting down.
