New here . Options for treatment or PTS?

I’m so sorry you have had to make this hard decision. It’s been made with her best interests at the heart of it. Sending you a hug 🤗

Popcorn pain free over the bridge. ❤️

((HUGS)), I'm so sorry for your loss. It's such a hard decision to have to make. Please be kind to yourself while you grieve.

I’m just back from the vets. My little pig was alert but had no gut sounds, hasn’t eaten independently in 4 days and needed a general for further investigation. The vet agreed the odds were stacked against her and it’s the kindest thing to do to PTS.

As soon as they started the sedation to PTS , her heart rate plummeted so I know I’ve made the right choice but it’s still so sad.

Her cage mate came along and he spent a short time with her body. I think he knows as he’s now really subdued . I never knew owning a Guinea pig would come with such heartbreak :(
