I had no idea about the food... We were using oxbow, but it was out of stock at the store and we grabbed a substitute for the time being. Thank you for telling me :)

They are supplied with fresh oxbow hay refilled two times a day, I was using the " Fudges fav snack " as a metaphor. They do have a hay rack, also. They get a fresh salad every day, with plent of veggies (and fruits occasionally).

They have a large plastic water bottle which is always full of water. This is located on the same side of the cage as the litter box and the food.image.webp

Awww, well done, you've done an absolutely brilliant job! and so quickly too!
hahaha, I cant believe you have an ACTUAL pig!
& your (mini) pigs also have gorgeous coats!

You clearly love your pets to bits, they're lucky to have you. :tu:

You're very welcome! :) Don't worry about it, it's the pet shop's fault for even stocking muesli mixes that are apparently catered to guinea pigs as well as rabbits (they're not good for rabbits either). Pretty much all pet shops are guilty of this. Muesli mixes are fine for gerbils, hamsters, etc. though. Probably a good idea to gradually switch back to the Oxbow pellets.

Sorry for automatically assuming you weren't feeding unlimited hay, water, etc., I just wanted to double check. I was pretty sure you were, considering how much you love your piggies, but I wasn't 100% certain. Your piggies are obviously very loved and well-cared for. :)

Ooh do your piggies actually use their litter tray? I wish mine would just use one corner for their toilet, that would make them so much easier to clean out...

About 50% of the time they do... The other half of the time they wee and poo wherever they please, especially in the pigloo (thanks a lot smudge). They semi learned from me moving their poops via dustpan and broom (I have a mini handheld one). The funny thing is that on some days, they'll poo in the corner only and on others, it'll be all over! :hmm:

Oxbow pellets aren't good for bladder guinea pigs though. They're high in calcium. I use a muesli mix because it's the lowest calcium food I can get, and I had bladder stones in previous guinea pigs that were fed pellets, including Cavy Cuisine.

I had a look through american petsores & I cant find anything with a stand, I know alot of people in america have the midwest cages & seem to love them.

The only way i can think round the height problem is to look on ebay, charity shops, etc and buy a cheap 120cm table to fit. That way you can store all their stuff underneath the cage? Hopefully some american members will be able to jump in and help you. @Mom2Gus @Jennifer D ?
lol! I'm Canadian! It would appear that the American PetSmarts have more selection :(
