Mystery weight loss

Tico has this lump next to her stitches. It's been there since she came home on Friday and I assumed it was just something aggravated but it's not gone down yet. Is it something I should worry about?

Otherwise her recovery is going absolutely fantastically. Her poops are back on track, she's stuffing her face with everything in sight and today during meds time she made a break for it and went exploring around the lounge. Acting just like her old self!

Send the pic to Cat and Rabbit Clinic and ask for Simon to take a look, just to reassure you! I doubt it’s anything of concern xx
I emailed it to them and Simon says it's just the knot in the sutures. Panic over! I poked it this morning and she didn't seem bothered by me so it doesn't appear to be hurting her. Also she gained 10g this morning, the little trooper!

Never sit at home worrying. Always check with Simon if you have any concerns. So glad your mind is at ease now. It sounds like he’s doing great xx

Tico has been doing wonderfully since her surgery and was gaining a solid 10g every week. She reached a high of 988g but recently has started losing again, down to 964g this week. We're off to C&R on Friday in case there's anything minor they can fix but I have a feeling this is it for her.

I gave her a fork left over from mashing a banana last night and she loved that (did her best to steal the fork) so she's still got some fight left :)

Saw Kim at C&R last night. There's a few things going on with Tico - she's got some pain in her jaw and the movement seems a bit limited, and also pain in her lower abdomen and possibly quite a bit of sludge/residue. The pain could be her cystitis (she has history of it) or it could be the cancer coming back. Either way the treatment is the same: metacam and gabapentin, and a trip back in a few weeks. Her abdomen was too painful for Kim to get a really good feeling because she'd tense up, so we're hoping the painkillers will mean Kim can get a better feel next time. Kim has also recommended reducing their nugg intake further, giving them lots of wet veg and dandelions for diuretic. Tico is not complaining!

All the best for Tico and for the painkillers to do the trick so Kim can get to the bottom of what is going on in the lower body. She is such a careful, considered nd knowledgeable diagnostician. She will hopefully feel a lot better in herself with her stronger pain meds.
