My lovely Aliona - possible ovarian cysts

He was like grotty teenager boys who are right pains at home with their parents, but when they meet friends' parents, they are so polite and helpful, butter wouldn't melt!
That’s how I’ve been describing him too, a naughty kid that’s an angel out of the house then gets home and his true self comes out! 😈

Very glad he didn’t do it the entire time he was at yours though Debbie @furryfriends (TEAS), would’ve driven you mad in your lounge! 🙉😆

Lolo’s wound’s looking brilliant this morning :)

That middle but on Bill’s tummy looked the same but healed well

Bless little Bill ❤️ Yeah it’s looking great really, the blood was a bit worrying but all dried and cleaned by her and looking lovely today 🙂 Weight stable at 942g this morning too, she’s doing great

Lolo wanted to let everyone know she’s almost healed and looking brilliant :)

Hair’s looking gorgeous again and eating like a trooper!:D
But her stupid mother has been ignoring stuff for over two months so ended up in Coventry hospital yesterday on a drip! After a bit of a nightmare and scary siren blazing ambulance turned up sent by GP, turns out I’ve got gastritis and possible ulcer, not pancreatitis like the GP thought!
Have been having big vomiting sessions lasting 6/7 hours and massive stomach pain, puked blood a couple of weeks ago and after 3 times this week, being in lots of pain and not even being able to keep water down I’m finally on meds! Hopefully will improve but if not got to have a camera in my tummy to have a look! Stoopid Becci leaving it!

So great to see Lolo feeling better! Don’t forget to take care of yourself though! I hope you are feeling better soon! ❤️

Thank you! I’m a silly , will be now! x

Glad Aliona is doing well, but you need to take care of yourself too. Hope you get well soon Becci. ❤
Thanks so much :) Got to cut back on my tea and coffee (:yikes:) and I can’t even drink alcohol without 🤢 atm so tee-total for a while too! And nicking the pigs fruit and veg more often I think rather than crisps and sweets! :)) x

Glad to hear Aliona's doing fine! Sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it. :( I hope you feel much better soon too! Sending big squeezy (but gentle) hugs! :) x

Very glad to hear Aliona is a lot better now, healing wheeks for you from us, take care of yourself and we hope you feel better soon xx

I seem to have missed the latest updates on this thread. 🙁

Lovely to see that Aliona is doing so well after her operation. She looks so happy.

I was sorry to read that you have been unwell @alpacasqueak and do hope that you are feeling better now. Do take care of yourself. xx

Thanks so much Yvonne, she’s looking so good and weight creeping back up now, we’ll be back over a kilo very soon hopefully!

I’m ok thanks, will be grateful for my anti-nausea tablet soon but have managed to keep a little bit of food down today so better than the last few days! Hopefully we’ll all be back to normal soon! 🤞xx

Please look after yourself too. The piggies need their hooman in the best of health.xx

Thanks so much everyone :hug:She had a couple of hormonal moments yesterday but Luigi isn’t running off scared anymore so definitely much less:gd:😡 than she was a few weeks ago!

Thanks for get well wishes for me too :) I guess I was just being a plonker and hoping stuff would go away, then Lolo had her issues and was far more important to sort her first! Not sure that’ll change though! XD🙈 x

Hope you are feeling better now @alpacasqueak .
Your health is just as important as the piggies’
Glad that Aliona is doing so well.
Thanks a lot Heather :) Still in pain and quite 🤢 if I’m honest, keeps waking me up at silly times! But I’m on the stomach/ulcer meds for 4 weeks so got a while to go yet! Took 18 tablets yesterday, I’m a rattling, walking, talking pharmacy at the moment! XD Very thankful of the anti-nausea tablets though, managed to keep food down last night again or I’m sure I’d feel much worse! And definitely very thankful don’t have to worry about my little lady as she’s almost healed and doing so well! ❤️x

Can you keep stuff like soup or milk down?
If so blitz some fruit into milk for a milkshake which is easy on the stomach.
Soup is easy if you just chuck veggies into a pan of stock, cook and then blitz to a smooth texture.
It’s the human equivalent of a syringe feed.

I was doing ok with milk until yesterday but think that was the combination of a small sandwich with a few plum tomatoes and a glass of it not mixing well in tummy during my nap! But yes I might give that a go, thank you. Had to go out for pig veg so picked up more fruit for me (and obviously Luigi’s blueberries or I’ll be beaten up!), some peppermint tea as well as told it’s good for dodgy tums? Not much veg for soup as seems to be all salad stuff for pigs in my fridge :doh:but do have a couple of tins of it in the cupboard.
I don’t feel too bad at the moment but it’s when the tablet starts wearing off I’m finding it hard, or laying down on my back! I’m trying not to move too suddenly after eating or drinking either as that seems to start it playing up! Thanks! x

Hope you’re feeling better today @alpacasqueak .

I just wanted to ask you about Aliona.
After her spay what meds were you given?
Also what dosage of Metacam and how often?

It’s been a while since I had a piggy spayed and I’m just getting my head around Priscilla’s upcoming op on Tuesday.

Sorry had a seizure on Saturday so was asleep half of yesterday, tummy feeling a bit better this morning though thanks despite waking me up at 5.45!

Aliona had 0.5ml of Emeprid twice a day and 0.3ml of Loxicom twice daily, she was just over 900g after she had the op (around 930 when she came home). She was my first spayed piggy so I did expect her to be on antibiotics too but obviously she’s healed brilliantly without them!
Hope it all goes well for gorgeous Priscilla, me and Lolo will be thinking of you both :hug:x

Thank you. Priscilla weighs in at around 1150g so I would expect her Loxicom to be a tad higher.
Sometimes it’s about persuading a vet that twice daily is better than once daily for piggies.

I don’t expect any problems as my vet here is very competent with piggies but it’s natural to be concerned.

Sorry that you had another seizure, Hope you’re feeling better today.
